I can see the the reason for IU's rejection of the role. If you remember that Kim Soo Hyun was quite vocal on saying he has a huge crush on IU that was rooted while making the drama The Producer. In 2022 Lee Joon Suk and IU were already an item but hidden. Only after a few months early this year that they admitted the relationship. And of course we knew the possesiveness of LJS knowing that Kim Soo Hyuk's strong admiration to IU that might affect his very new relationships with her and that's probably might be the reason why she declined the role. Honestly, QUEEN of TEARS has a very good storyline that is fitted for her that could put her on stage for another awards. I wish her being too loyal will not affect her career. Her fans still wanted more of her onscreen.
