Everyone is down on a composite hood and thinks metal is better. Metal is cheaper to build and can dent and rust and can be repaired and painted, but composite usually is tough enough to bounce off most damage and look unharmed. No dents or rust. Yes if you kill it repairs are difficult or impossible. You choose.
