Dear Sarvapriyananda-ji, It is beyond my and language's capacity to express how much your lecture videos on Bhagabat Gita (eagerly waiting for subsequent videos), Drigdrishya Viveka, Aparokshanubhuti, Mandukya Upanishad (listened till lecture 45 as this moment), and many other lecture videos have helped me. It has simply transformed my life. I want to make the following two comments on your lecture videos. Statutory warning: they could be nonsense. Please feel free to throw them in trash. They are just my little opinion. ------------------------------------------- What is false? Everything except ultimate truth is false. Examples: gold is truth, ornaments are false; clay is truth, pots are false. Another way of saying the same thing would be, "anything whose existence is dependent on something else is false." In the same sense, everything what we can "see/experience" (in the sense of Drigdrishya Viveka) is false since the very act of seeing/experiencing depends on the see-er/experiencer. In my limited understanding, the fundamental reason due to which people gets mentally devastated by phrases like "the world is false or everything that we can experience is false" is that they are missing the definition of the word "false" according to adwaita vedanta. If the understanding of "falsity" is always clear to us, then we can easily understand that what adwaita vedanta is saying is not theory, it is plain fact --- only God/atman is real, everything else is false. In fact, it is the simplest of the facts. This is why, when we recognize this fact, phrases like "Atman is beyond time, space, and causation" becomes a plain truth since time, space, and causation are all in our consciousness. This is why, once we understand this, we wonder "how come we have been missing this?" and we jump to our friends to show this fact only to our disappointment to realize that they will not see it. Thank you Sarvapriyananda-ji and your team for making and sharing your lectures online. Because of you, I can now see this fact. In my humble opinion, a dedicated lecture on "what is false?" would be very helpful to everyone. You have explained the definition of falsity many times, but it is scattered in many (almost all) lectures. People seem to missing it all the times and struggles to understand adwaita vedanta. -------------------------------------------- In your lectures (18-20) on Mandukya Upanishad, you were explaining the beginning of Chapter 2 where Gourapadacharya gives reasons to prove that dreams are false. There, you were saying that Gourapadacharya is doing this, even if we all know that dreams are false, to make us absolutely sure that dreams are false. In my humble opinion, the main purpose of those verses is to closely watch and learn the "reasoning machinery/system" with which we establish the falsity of dreams so that when we deploy the same "reasoning machinery" to establish the falsity of our world, there is no "ifs" and "buts." If any "ifs" and "buts" arise, then we should again go back to those verses where Gourapadacharya proves falsity of dreams and clarify our doubts there. It is like, suppose we need to learn driving to go to Kolkata from Kharagpur. In the learning phase, I learn driving on empty or less busy roads so that I can focus my attention only on learning "how to operate the machine called car." Once I learn driving, I can use my car to go anywhere. -------------------------------------------- Regards, Palash

Mind has inputs which come up in dreams. But raja yoga book says they are sanchit sanskaras of many births stored in kundalini form which when kundalini shakti escapes some how from sushumna nerve,the dreams appear whild body mind are asleep.

Beliefs are being broken by logical arguments. It will be our mistake to replace one belief with other. Once the falsity is established the truth is known. The purpose of teaching is over. Why to have a mental library? The purpose of logic is over after realization of truth.

Consciousness infinity doesn't need to know everyone minds because everyone's minds are not existing and how would consciousness know all minds because knower is a mind that consciousness the illuminer asanga so the knower of all minds is God when you ask that you're asking why you're not like God haha its like a unit so the unit mind will always know itself only but it thinks it itself is the consiousness so it wants to be everything but it is not even it appears in consciousness like everything that doesn't exist seems to appear
