Perfect video! I just picked up a used 20” McLane as well and need to maintenance it just like you did. Also picking up the RR grooved roller and grass catcher cover!

Awesome man. I did the same thing to mine. Only additional thing I did was to go ahead and replace the fuel tank (lots of rust) and replace the carburetor with new pickup tube. Runs like a champ now! It wasn’t very expensive either. Good luck with it and keep up the good work. Later my Corpus bro 👍🏻

That’s great dude! I ended up replacing my carb, $17. 😂

How much was your fuel tank? I’m considering doing the same thing down the road.. We will have to meet up sometime!
@sotexlawn3 жыл бұрын
@@donslawns1 heck yeah man. The tank was $89, I also replaced the drive belt $8 and the non-drive wheels in the rear. All ordered off good ole Amazon. I’ve got parts numbers and old orders you can refer to if you need any of the parts I replaced. Btw, How the heck did your palms survive???
@donslawns13 жыл бұрын
@@sotexlawn my Pygmy date palms died, and I have no idea how my Mexican fan palms made it. Only thing I can guess is I had extra strong roots in place and fronds to spare!

So what’s with the front and rear oil fill ports? My Tru Cuts Briggs engine has front and rear oil fills as well. Do you just always re-fill from the front and use the rear one as a “secondary check” to make sure you’ve got enough oil in it?
@donslawns12 жыл бұрын
Yeah- I just double check them both to make sure they’re fairly even. I did a predator swap now, and there’s a big improvement in the mowing experience. 👍🏼

@@donslawns1 Thanks man! I realized though two of the nuts to hold down the engine is missing. I'm not sure if the rest of the bolts/nuts are OEM. I know I can use any bolt/nut that fits but would you happen to know the part number or serial number that'd be great.
