This theme fits her character PERFECTLY. I think the 2 games overall have the best soundtracks in the entire series hands down. Not only that each OST fits the character, environment, situation or backstory perfectly but they are also technically well done.

I like the contrast between this and Turnabout Sisters. While TS's brings memories, joy and, overall, a cheerful emotion both because of Mia and nostalgia, I can say that this theme brings "warmth". Warmth, tranquility, comprehension, knowing the unwavering support of Susato and the resolve to go on. It's one of those themes I can hear and think "I'm home"

You absolutely NAILED IT!!! That's what I feel too! Not just for Susato's theme, But the Turnabout sisters, especially Maya! It's like you could find yourself in the coldest, most UNFORGIVING place of the Courtroom, especially if you're not in your homeland, but a place overseas... with Susato at your side, she won't let you off with your own BS, but she is that "reprieve" that can be your "home" for just 3 minutes, five minutes, stopping the hopelessness of the moment short of absolutely CRUSHING you into certain despair, all things considered, until you find your way and your own fighting spirit again. And then there's Maya. Since I mentioned "Hopelessness" above... I feel like her "muchness" may feel less like you're home somewhere warm, safe and serene and more like you have in your care a pretty hyper puppy who can go off and do something crazy any minute 😂 It's perfect how to describe it: Susato is a "Home" who will always comfort you and make you feel warm. Maya is a "Puppy" who went thru some trauma herself, but even so, how can you not smile, if only for a couple minutes, because she'll NEVER forsake you from a place of heartlessness in your moment of need. Maya shows us all how to keep forging on, even when the memories of what transpired threaten to absolutely CRUSH our souls and hearts if we stop and dwell on it for too long. It's funny but last year I went thru something pretty devastating; betrayal was part of it. Right now because the song above stopped, my ears are playing Maya's theme in there instead. So ultimately before I overdo it and over-explain and become a nuisance of myself (ahaha, apologies folks I just get fired up for stuff like this 😂)... ...I feel like Maya is there in a moment of devastation with such bubbly energy, when you see her be so happy and not give up how much happiness life can give her yet even after a heartbreaking loss... if you're in that zone of devastation and resignment, it's like you can look at her, hear her theme and go "Hey... if you found your way to the light again yourself, Maya... maybe I can, too. Maybe **my** life isn't over from what happened, either." In contrast, Susato offers a different kind of support... it took me all this yammering to finally get at the contrast between the 2 girls I'm getting at: Maya is like that girlfriend or puppy who will "pep talk" (more like cheer you on cuz she's on your side 100% and won't be giving up on you EVER) you back onto your feet; Susato is more like a Mother type who will give you warm tea to drink and some time n space to reflect until you're able to get yourself back onto your feet again :3 So yea!!! My comment got longer than I intended but man that's what I love about Ace Attorney; it's not JUST a game for amusement; such deep stories and amazing characters are stuffed in this game (so many unique personalities both on Team Good and Team Evil ahahaha!), the themes you hear in the game can evoke so much more than "Huh... that's nice. Nice music, yea..." etc! It calls you to look inside your own heart, soul and LIFE, I think! That is why I love it when games like the Ace Attorney franchise can impact me this greatly; the 2 games that take place around the 20th century is really my favorite right now, hahaha! The Yamato Nadeshiko may nod and lower her head, but it is never a thing done lightly. Where many failed to separate respect from submission, a flower will always find the way towards the sun. They are precious things to earn, not pebbles spread freely. Though knowing that the most beautiful flowers wilt the fastest after blooming, they bloom nonetheless. Proudly, and without regret.

It's by far the longest case in the game, and she performs the function for much longer than Franziska and Gumshoe ever did during 3-5 (who are also official Assitstants according to the wiki). While they do perform the function more in spin-offs, in the mainline games they have an inferior duration as Assistant than Ema. Rayfa and Dhurke have even less time as an Assistant than her. Plus, my comment was meant to refer to her as a character, not only as an Assistant, compared to people like Simon.

I have to be honest during case 2 i didn't like her that much. She knew that Ryu and Kazuma were best friends, and yet she was so determined to blame Ryu. And at the end of that case when she apologized for doing the Susato Takedowns, then proceeded to do one as demonstration for Sholmes, it felt like a miss for me. But then the game continued. And she became kne of my favourote characters! The way she supported Ryu and helps him find his footing, the way she sympathizes with the defendants and interacts with Sholmes and Iris. She's She's sweetheart. She is smart, emphatic, strong and beautiful. I ended up crying at the end of the first game haha. A true testiment to good character writing!
