Dream video! I was wondering like 500 years ago is a long time ago but 50 years ago is quite a recent past. So today we only see twin engines which is rather boring when compared to decades ago with beauties like 727's, TU-157, Trident's, 707's, DC-8-63 El Giganton!, DC-10, L1011's, 747's, IL-96 and others. In the 70's and 80's it was one surprise after the other, simply jaw dropper days!

@@StrayaAviation I was meant to go last year but changed dates twice due to restrictions. Only go spotting abroad a couple of times a year so I’m really looking forward to finally getting there. Doesn’t look the easiest to walk to some of those spots so I’ll probably just stay on the hill 👍

Why Iberia A330 pilots did not retract the gear immediately?

Could be a few things but I don’t believe it returned so cooling of the brakes would be my guess

It’s the procedure when you have a brake deactivated or the autobrake system doesn’t work, you need to keep the gear down for one minute to let the wheels stop spinning
