The director must be a car guy, similar thing happened in the 2017 CHiPs movie when one scene showed a Chevy SS, then when they firebombed it, it was suddenly a Malibu. Dax Shepard is a motorhead, didn't want to destroy a modern classic.

You've got to admire the luck of the Getaway Driver in movies; despite never having been at that location before, they seemingly find all the correct turns because Plot Device GPS. Real life, grantee, at some point, they'll make a wrong turn and either come face to face with a wall or a window.

Yeah, I drove one a few times. The cop version had a measly 318, but they used 360 heads, intake, and a Q-jet, NOT a thermoquad. No power at all, but they handled and stopped really well for the era.
