We've got another short sharp interval session for you this week! Today's session is focusing on climbing, with short hard efforts followed by steadier sustained riding to replicate a steep climb with ramps.

Hi, great video's ! But one question. I have a heart rate monitor and a power meter. How can I train with it instead of using the effort level?

The thing I love about relative effort is that it's relative. a 9/10 can be completely different for Manon than it is for me or my brother or his friend or their mother.

Could you give us two parameters: effort level and % of FTP level as well? Thank you? Eg. is 10/10 100% of FTP or 120-150%???

Sure it is more than 100%, because intervals are pretty short. On a simulator, you can base yourself in heart rate.

20 minutes is a good length of time to get a good workout in. my favourite quote from this has to be "Hank.. fighting for the link, Contador up there dancing on the pedals..... Manon, he would of dropped you a long time ago". Brutal!!! But brilliant!!

Something that would be great for future videos would be related warm ups and stretches. I'm relatively new to indoor training and cycling in general, so unsure on a good way to warm the legs up and stretch without getting on and off

For sure we'll be making videos on this in future! As a general rule of thumb 5-10 mins of low intensity pedalling should be enough to get you adequately warmed up for one of our indoor sessions. After the session just make sure you cool down slowly over 2-5 mins to allow you heart rate to settle down while you keep your body moving. Any stretching/additional warm up can be beneficial too but if you do those things at the very minimum you'll be in good shape to do the workouts consistently!

This stationary bike is easy to assemble. You can finish this in less than an hour. My friend bought this and she really likes it.
