I'm so grateful that this video exists to practice listening but don't be fooled... This is nowhere near an "absolute beginner" exercise. I've finished the entire Duolingo course, have over 1000 words in my Anki deck (which I study everyday) and live in Indonesia speaking it everyday and even teaching some of my friends and even I still had to pause and rewind somewhat. This is actually perfect for my level as it's fairly challenging and I'm super excited to try the next video in the series. Bottom line, don't feel discouraged if you're an absolute beginner and this is way beyond your level. Semoga berhasil!!!

As a Malaysian, I can understand this entire video. But I think they way speak is too flat. The pronounciation is fine, it just the intonation and the rythm. But I understand this is for beginner. Goodluck for anyone study bahasa Indonesia

Namanya Juga Bahasa Formal. dan ini tujuannya untuk orang luar yang ingin belajar Bahasa Indonesia. :) jika menggunakan bahasa yang tidak baku,orang luar akan lebih sulit memahami. apalagi menggunakan kata Yang sering digunakan dalam film indonesia. Gue/Lo(Gua elu)
