The whole "Sandman Dying and being brought back to life" story. Dreamer was on Stone Cold's podcast retelling the story. Rhyno came in all crying saying he can hang out with the crew anymore, in all of his reasonings, he casually said "Sandman's dead", and Tommy had to double check and ask if his friend is dead, and Rhyno said "Well, we brought him back to life." He overdosed in the car ride, and the gang, at first, dumped the drugs somewhere and by Tommy's words "By the grace of God, we saw a hospital sign". And what do they do? They dumped him on the ground of the hospital and said "We just found this guy somewhere", because if he died as an associate, there would be an investigation. The doctors injected Adrenaline into his heart and it did the trick, and Sandman showed up like nothing happened. ECW veterans are a different breed.

This may seem an odd question, but you said "you can always respect when someone turns their life around for the better" would you also say that you "always respect when a society can turn the bad system around for the better?" What I'm asking here is if you can look at people as people, and then also our system as a system that influences people for better or worse and see where we can make improvements as a society moving forward. I'm not discounting personal choices, I'm just wondering if you would applaud social change for the better, that, for instance, would drastically reduce the chance that someone like Booker T would even be in such desperate conditions to lead to armed robbery and jail time?

The whole thing about Hogan saying the WWF belt was a bauble in Japan becomes so much worse when you listen to Bruce Prichard (the carniest of carnies) speak on this on his podcast on the Mania 9 show they did. Usually he lies his ass off for 90% of the time, but in this one, in response to Conrad asking him if anyone in WWF at the time heard or cared about Hogan doing that promo in Japan about their belt, I believe him when he said none of them cared or even knew he even said it. They considered Japan to be basically an alternate universe and didnt give a shit their champ had called their title a mere trinket over there because Prichard was brainwashed by Vince's weird logic that nothing outside of WWF is reality. I believe them, based on the lack of importance they place on their titles, even to this day. That entire Mania 9 podcast is worth a listen - if nothing else, it's an intriguing study on stockhold syndrome and how high up onto Vince's balls Bruce was able to climb before he got swung off of them and got fired. He was inevitably hired back after years of him basically asking them to notice him on there. Hilarious shit. You can tell even in ep1 of that show his only mission was to get re-hired. So funny.

There are some parts of the wrestling culture that just seem so toxic, especially when it comes to newcomers in WWE. You're not supposed to use ice packs, you have to give up your seats on airplanes, you are expected to shake hands with everyone, have to wear a suit backstage etc. Seems like a nightmare. Chris Jericho has also told a story of when he was new in and Triple H gave him his phone number so he can call if he ever needs help with anything. He then one night called him because he was lost and didn't know where the arena was and was met by DX ridiculing him before hanging up the phone. Like why?

15:40 story time: (click to expand my comment) I've experienced this first hand. I had tickets in the 200 level on the hard cam side of the Tacoma Dome for Stomping Grounds in 2019. When we got into the building and tried to go to our seats we were told to go to this table to get other tickets because our seats were blocked off. We got upgraded to 4 rows behind the barricade on the floor for free since they curtained off the entire hard cam side of the Tacoma Dome and moved people to the other side because they had sold so few tickets. The Tacoma Dome has a capacity of 21,000, and WWE reportedly sold between 4,000 and 4,500 tickets, with an attendance of possibly 6,000 total with free tickets. If you go back and watch the PPV, and look to the left of commentary when wrestlers enter or exit the ring on that side of the ring, or are filmed with commentary behind them, me and my buddy have pink and yellow signs that say "JOIN" and "US!!!" in support of Cultaholic Wrestling. I made the signs in Neon colors with silver tape around the edges and glow in the dark tape accents cuz I thought we'd be way up in the stands, but then we got there and were moved to ring side. The problem with ticket sales was the card in my opinion. Home state hero Daniel Bryan as a heel with Rowan against Heavy Machinery in the undercard, while Rollins was facing Baron Corbin in the main event with Lacey Evans as the special guest ref. Ziggler vs Kofi in the steel cage for the WWE Title should have been the main event. We hijacked the Daniel Bryan match, turning him and Rowan babyface for one night only cheering all their moves and booing Heavy Machinery. We chanted things like "Drive a Prius 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻" "Let's Go Cena/Cena sucks" (He wasn't even on the card) "CM Punk!" (He wasn't in the company) and other stuff. It was fun.

The velcro belts is a bridge too far for me tbh... i don't think i can ever get used to it... especially when the mics pick up the sound.... it just makes them seem like props... if they are really set in the idea of having velcro, i think the very least they could do is put it between the snaps, so it was a little hidden.

16:20 I remember Blue Meanie talking about this, in his first WWE flying to another city he had a first class seat and he didn't knew that he had to give it to another wrestler, he even said Mick Foley walked by and said "Oooh Meanie...You didn't know what you've got yourself into"

If they have to pay it for themselves they they should never give up their seat either. I'm glad to see that Regal said what he said tho

@@mojojojo6400 is out of respect so a jobber wouldn't go and buy a first class seat

Ok, something about Owen's accident never sat right with me. How did they cut the feed so fast--before he even hit the ring if it was an unexpected accident? It would take a half second for anyone to recognize what is happening, then call that in, the media team would have to hear, react, & cut to something else. All that happened when he was half way through a free fall?

As far as Angle's Olympic Slam stuff, I fully believe that one. For an example, I'm a fan of Matt's Off Road Recovery here on KZbin, based out of Hurricane, Utah. They built the "Worlds largest offroad wrecker" this past year, and issued a challenge to some other youtube channels with offroad wreckers, including Merlin's Old School Garage, Trail Mater, and Fab Rats. They were at Moab doing an offroad challenge/ set of games to declare the best offroad wrecker machine, and they were going to call it the Offroad Wrecker Olympics or something of that nature. Well, at the last minute, they got a cease and desist letter with threats to sue from the Olympics just for using that name so they had to rename it to the Offroad Wrecker Games. doesnt sound as cool, but definitely was badass lol. But that little story just shows how touchy the Olympics can be i guess eh?

I wanted to be a pro wrestler so bad when I was young. I'm so glad that never came to fruition seeing all the corruption in pro wrestling through the decades. Unless you're a top tier talent, a 9-5 would be way more beneficial to your future than being even a mid level talent.
