OK, the "artwork" boulder had to be the craziest one of all of them. What on earth!! Cut trees down so somebody's "artwork" boulder can be moved to a museum???? Sometimes our human race really scares me...

In the city I live in now I watched when they were building a new interstate highway them transport the longest piece of steel you can imagine for a bridge over several highways! Fascinating to see how they made a turn to get it to the site! I said to myself no way that is making the turn! It took them the entire day but they got it done! Amazing!

I used to work for a home builder in Seattle back in the 90s. We worked with a company to move a 6000 sq ft house and separate four car garage from Medina to the south end of Bainbridge Island. It squeaked through the Ballard locks with less than a foot of total clearance. The house was one of three properties where Bill Gates built his house.

Great video showing lots of interesting moves. However, Banana missed perhaps the granddaddy of them all... moving the 129 year old 198' tall iconic Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. In 1999 this structure, stated to be the tallest brick lighthouse in the world, was moved 2900' to protect it from encroachment by the Atlantic Ocean. The move took 23 days!

Good video, there is one more move you could add to it. Moving a grain elevator that is 200 feet tall weighing one million Lbs. in La Riviere, Manitoba Canada. I believe it was in 2004 the move itself would not be much except the fact it was moved down a hill

In the 1950s my father’s company hauled dozens of forty-foot sections of Titan or Minuteman (I don’t recall which) missile silos from southern California to Arkansas. A load twenty-four feet in diameter (as wide as two modern lanes), and, loaded on a flatbed trailer, twenty-eight feet high. As a federal project, and before interstates with overpasses, things like power lines, phone lines, and traffic signals were raised, they had to drive prescribed routes, and two states required police escorts. Not as epic as some of these, but done many times over long distances. I have a photo of one such section on his truck. Somewhere.

If it was late 50’s it was the Titan missile system.

Lucas Heights, a suburb of Sydney, Australia used to have an exclusion zone around the Nuclear Reactor. Since my family moved to the area 40 years ago that exclusion zone has been reduced continuously. The exclusion zone was renamed to Barden Ridge to encourage people to move in. Correction to the video, the speaker mentions "ANSO" the organisation is actually called ANSTO. This stands for Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation. I'm proud of the work done there, however we used to send our Nuclear waste overseas to France. Apparently the no longer want it and there is NO SOLUTION TO NUCLEAR WASTE STORAGE GLOBALLY. 🙄😱

I agree completely that the world needs to stop using nuclear power. When something generates waste that is that dangerous, what are they thinking??? I guess they're thinking that if Kim Jung Un can do it, so can we...
