@@josuetapia315 In all fairness Kemper never actually apologize. He once said he felt remorse for what he did, but that was as far as it went. He did however own up to what he did and like you said he turned himself in and took his punishment. He by far is the most interesting serial killer to me, the way his mind works and how normal his life seemed. He makes no excuse for what he did, he owns it. He also knows if free he would continue to be aa threat. "Society is not ready in any shape or form for me" he said in his parole hearing in 1988.

This is not the only one, is not even the most famous, we also had Luis Alfredo Garavito, who kill3d 150 or more children between 4 and 15 yo. He was arrested and was given JUST 40 YEARS (our constitution prohibited life sentences and death penalties as our first rule is "life is sacred and nothing can interfere with it" yes I agree its kinda stupid) He was going to be released next year, but died of an eye cancer on 2023.

Genetic predispositions and high functioning, psychopathic personality traits means he was probably destined to be on the wrong side of the law one way or another, at least statistically. The specific circumstances of his upbringing made him the "Co-Ed" killer, but even if he had a more stable and nurturing childhood there's no guarantees he wouldn't have ended up killing people, he'd just have a different MO. @blane-li
@blane-li 9 ай бұрын
Hindsight , namely! Ofc someone is going to be repulsively "unattractive" when you associate their looks with a serial killer which is why it's hard to understand now, but I've actually looked into this because I didn't understand in kind. Media says he was "attractive" bc of the simple fact he used his looks to lure people in. That doesn't happen nearly as easily if someone is conventionally "unattractive". Ted Bundy was well groomed, wore proper outfits, kept himself lean, had fairly balanced facial features, and didn't have any distinguishing features like massive scars that would lend to "unnattractiveness" or make himself seem like someone to hesitate around. Pairing this with a feigned injury to make himself seem softer and safer, he could use conventionally "attractive" details to lure in women around his age. A this in comparison to "unattractive" unkempt, messy looks, disgifuration, overly muscular, bad smelling, poorly groomed features. "Attractive" and "unattractive" in quotes bc I personally don't really believe physical looks are what decide attractive vs unattractive; personality does. But by traditional beauty standards, there is a difference in the physical of the two, even if it changes over time.

Heres something i find interesting. I live in the town where Samantha Koenig was abducted from in Alaska. I remember hearing about her abduction and that her body was found soon after. Bur this is literally the first time hearing her killer's name or any other details about him. I wonder if its because he was found out of state. Being in Alaska, there is that level of disconnect between here and the rest of the country.

I agree 100% something about Bittaker shook me to my core. He was so homely but there was something in his eyes that bore into people. The way he described what he did when he was other stand was chilling. The thought of those poor young girls alone out there is heartbreaking. I've watched docs on pretty much all of the serial killers and they all are scary but Bittaker/Norris stuck with me for quite a while.

Since when did a short time of "good behavior" undo the seriousness of multiple murders? Ridiculous. No mentally healthy person would ever murder someone. It's not within our moral ability to do so. At that point, there is so much wrong with this person to the degree that "good behavior" wouldn't be a strong factor to indicate that the problem was taken care of and that the person was safe enough to be let back into society.

For me the night-stalker is the most feared eventhough he is this time not mentioned. Understandable, because you have to choose when making a video. He broke into random houses and killed everyone inside in their sleep. Literally everyone could become its victim. You where even vulnerable if you where for example a MMA-fighter because he surprised people when they where sleeping in their own house.
