Hi Don. Thank you so much for the feedback. You even got me to watch my video again to remind me what I did! I'm contemplating what to do for my next video, and hope it will be of interest. Cheers. Andrew

Well done Andrew a great job and even the seal of approval from Mike.

Thanks Paul. After giving it a try I don't think goblets really float my boat. It was an interesting little project though and it was really nice to get a comment from Mike the master goblet turner. Cheers. Andrew

Thanks Jim. Just been out walking my dog and was thinking about doing another goblet but with some of your milliput inspiration. I'll give it some more thought! 🍺 Andrew

Sounds good, I am currently working on another Milliput project, which if it turns out as well as I'm hoping should be good and one you will find interesting. Cheers, Jim

Hi Owen thanks for the feedback. A few videos back I think you asked me what camera I used. I've since changed from the Fuji to a Sony a6000 which has helped improve quality. I've also upgraded Vegas MovieStudio to the latest version. Thanks again. Andrew

I Like the goblet very much, also your" bunnet" as they are called here by some folk in Glasgow . If you are thinking of doing another goblet you may try Yew. Any I've done in Yew look really good due to the nature/colours of the grain in the wood.
@tiddlerfromtad7 жыл бұрын
Hi Thomas. Many thanks for the advice. I'll keep my eye open for some Yew next time I'm in the wood store. Cheers. Andrew

morning Andrew another nice piece need to sort the focus out on camera but great video
@tiddlerfromtad7 жыл бұрын
Hi John Thanks for the feedback. It looks like KZbin re-rendered the video to try to stabalise it. Not sure if this has caused some out-of-focus bits, but it's certainly caused some cropping of text. I've changed the KZbin setting on the video, but I think it can take several hours to revert to the original. If you get chance to review the video in a day or so, I would really appreciate it and welcome further feedback regarding which bits that might still be out-of-focus. Cheers Andrew

Very nice too. Well done another Mike Waldt convert to goblets 😀. Was the hollowing tool the Robert Sorby and how pleased with it were you who's ever it was
@tiddlerfromtad7 жыл бұрын
Hi Roger. My exposure to woodturning is quite limited but I really enjoy turning bowls. However I found that spindle turning brings its own challanges and enjoyment. It would be great to be able to master the skew chisel. The hollowing tool is a Robert Sorby RS200KT and I found it a real pleasure to use. I took fairly light cuts but never came close to encountering a catch. I also used it in my #19 video and I think it's great. Take care and happy turning! Cheers. Andrew

nice job of that goblit a shame you should of used your spindle gouge to remove the waste to practice all the best
@tiddlerfromtad7 жыл бұрын
Hi Barry. A very good point. In hindsight it would have been a great opportunity to get more practice with the spindle gouge. Thanks for the advice. Cheers. Andrew
