As a steam player of orange country I have this to say. STAY AWAY. The game has not been patched since Jan, is completely unplayable. This means no matter how well they internal test Orange Country there will be bugs. Assuming the game is even playable. There are game killing bugs, such as not being able to buy seeds, or getting stuck in buildings. This is 100% a game I would say wait to see how the owners on Steam say the game is, before even THINKING of getting the switch version.

i did see that this game was in early access and hadn't been patched for a while but I didn't realise it was unplayable! it will be coming out of early access on the 24th so I'm hoping a lot of these issues will be fixed (as they would hopefully fix any early access bugs before fully releasing their game) but will have to play by ear! it just looked too cute to not include but thank you for sharing your experience I will make sure to do more research for games I haven't played myself in future vids 💕💕

@@emochii I would be more inclined to agree if, since they went from RPG maker to Unity there has not been one single update. They ignore any questions about the game being ready for a full release everywhere, and I just keep getting the feeling this is more a cash grab then anything. I hope I'm wrong, as the RPG version was amazing, but the way the developers are acting it's not a good sign.

I got the demo for Europa and it was cute but wasn't my style of game. I like some cozy games but I like some that don't revolve around farming and have some more to it,like My Time at Sandrock. I feel like a lot of these dev studios are just using cozy games as a quick and easy way to start making games. I feel like some studios feel like cozy means that it doesn't need to be involved or fleshed out. I've been REALLY enjoying Dragon Quest Monsters, Dragon Quest Treasures and the Atelier series. They're not new games by any means but I figured I'd suggest some games for anyone who is looking for new "chill" games that hasn't been wow'ed with anything that's come out lately. I don't mean to sound like I'm being negative towards your video, that's not at all my intention. I appreciate the time and work you put into making this. It's not your fault that the newer games aren't super appealing to me, so I am sorry if my comment sounded like I meant anything towards you, I apologize.

no worries I totally get what you mean! I do have a vid up of my fav non-farming games if that's something you'd be interested in. i also feel like some cozy games don't feel fleshed out enough upon release but there are definitely some hidden gems out there like stardew, wylde flowers and sun haven which all feature farming but are also really fleshed out imo 💕

yess I completely agree with you! I use a graphic to list which consoles each game is on but sadly most cozy games release on steam years before being ported to console - if they ever are :( for those who can't afford a gaming pc (because they're v spenny) the steam deck could be a good alt as it's handheld like the switch. they are a bit more expensive but have much better hardware and can run a decent amount of steam games well! hope this helps 💕💕

Loved your commentary about Rebots, capitalism is so ingrained in us in the west, I hate that it's even in our video games. I'll be taking a look at that one though, so thanks!
