@@MasterZebulin I would imagine that any speed boost that would be possible with the usb thumb drive would be nullified by the fact that the PS 1 Classic used USB 2.0 which is hella slower than USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 . But if that's the only drive you have, it will work but will not be fully taken advantage of by the USB 2.0 standard used by the PS 1 Classic.

@@paulclinton6414 wasnt just a lack of games that people were dissapointed with. It was releasing it with games that ran at 50hz, PAL region games. It was a lazy effort that didn't make sense. The SNES Classic was a solid effort. People will hack anything they can, but in my opinion the SNES didn't need it.. Just for people to add what they wanted. The PS Classic needed all the help it could get lol. My SNES and NES Classic are both stock. I reverted them back after hacking them for videos.

I bought “crackhead” and “fight” packs from 2 different eBay sellers last week. The “crackhead” pack just doesn’t work and the seller only wants to give me a 20% refund. The “fight” pack works but eBay has suddenly removed that seller. These things are hit and miss........,,,,buyer beware

My biggest issue with the prebuilt packs is the amount of doubles and some triples of some games. Folks need to check their stuff better before uploading.

Actually if ya have a correct bluetooth adapter, you can play PS classic with PS4 controller and with analog sticks. I have one so i can tell ya its working.

Is there a forum to get updates on new layouts for the PlayStation classic mini? I would love to see the ps1 and other emulator rom games come up differently almost have option to see box art all displayed kinda how Wii flow had there games. At $20 its a great deal in my opinion. Doing your own hacking is really simple. Or just downloading a prebuilt setup and putting on a usb drive, then customizing how you like. Really a great value at the $20-30 range for what we get and can do.

It probably needed to update the file art to the console so I would bet you plug it in, turn it on and let it sit for 2 min and then reboot and it will have it all loaded on. When u first load a drive to a pi it has a similar issue

Have you been able to have retroarch/autobleem installed while using any of the true blue usb drives? I heard it installs a script which doesn't allow other USB sources to work properly.

Nah it doesnt do anything of the such. I tested these rumors with the first 1 I got. Its just some script on the drive itself that tries to make it so you cant copy it and boot from a different drive. There are workarounds on all that, but in the end its not making your system to where it cannot boot other non true blue builds.

I feel like you're a bit too critical. On my PSC I've modded using your very own tutorials, I've had to reboot the console multiple times, and games freezing or crashing happens because we are asking it to play games it wasn't intended to. There are games that don't work properly or well on the PSC, and it's no fault of anyone.

It may be a bad ROM/ISO, not the pack. I was playing around today with my cruzer fit 64MB (the newer one of the one you recommended in your autobleem ready to go build video) with the ready made autobleem, and while playing Front Mission 3, during the lab fight in the opening, it crashed with that SAME message you got.

Interesting. I just tried this again on another ps classic and it wouldnt recognize the drive. Took 4 times of unplugging everything and plugging back in for it to recognize. Then it showed only half the box arts this time again. Counted the games, only 99 not 101. so they screwed up on some packaging as well.

I will throw this out there. I have the meth pack from true blue and it works great I've had no problems except when some games need analogue it does not warn you but you can easily use a wireless adapter with a ps3 or 4 controller to fix that issue and when you hit the button to change discs the meth pack does.

I wouldn't even buy anything that says "True Blue" on it. Fun fact: this is the same company/name that you'll see on the PS3 dongles that only allow you to play certain games that were signed with firmware support past firmware version 3.55, but you'll need to download the EBOOT files that were signed for support with the True Blue dongle.

Wait on Autobleem 3.0!! Current build doesn't allow both analog and directional pad! At the start, you can choose one or the other. Otherwise Retroarch works fine! I'll wait for the next release or for someone to put up they're 128g build with a fix...

I have all four packs: weed, crack, meth, and fight. I recommend them, they all seem to be working flawlessly. The only minor defect is text that appears on-screen misses a letter here and there, but it's still legible. Got all four for 86$, free delivery. Saves a shitload of time downloading and decrompressing.

no i have the weed pack ( fuking name lol) .. and mine has issues too .. im thinking they have changed some of the functions and files on this and its messing with the stability .. Discworld has a real issue with this on the weed pack and wont play right or save right .. and im doing some deep reverse engineering on these soon as i have them all and i will see what is going on .. if anything .. as i have some thoughts that is actually is leaving files behind ... The PlayStation classic is my first mini console and it was extremely easy to hack, I think I payed 60 bucks on Amazon and another 11 dollars for 2 16 gig usb drives so less than 80 bucks for a mini ps1 that can play any PlayStation game I want! All my computers are apple and I could never get emulation running well on my Mac so I’m extremely happy with the classic

Eh it's a little janky for my tastes. Autobleem is the way to go and besides I'm not going to play all those games anyway. I like creating my own build with games I know I'll play. Downloading hundreds of games is a bit excessive.
