I to love the smell of wool. Grew up with mom making socks, sweater, and all baby things in beautiful soft wool. Can not find fine baby wool. I guess one has to get it from Ireland and Scotland. What beautiful box of yarn. Live in Canada so shipping and exchange will be expensive. God bless you your the best.

Hi Fiberspider ! If only you knew what you started last year. I found your videos on making shawls, so made about five. Now I’m into making Afghan rugs, (patterns found on various websites in England). Then my 21 year old granddaughter and her mom got hooked (pardon the pun), and they are making rugs too. But today I watched your recent unboxing, and remembered what wonderful company you are! The only face I can stand to watch after all those zoom meetings. It’s all the more amazing because I’ve been an avid quilter for over 30 years. And by the way, loved the cushions and quilt. So thanks again for inspiring us all here in England.

I picked up 2 boxes last fall when they were 25 lbs and a 10 lbs last month. That wonderful light blue fuzzy yarn was in every box. I love working with (and wearing) it. I have the natural yarns set aside for when I get brave enough to dye it. I am glad you are as enthusiastic about the yarn as I was. DEFINITELY worth the price including the shipping. 👍

You could do a burn test to check if the ones you said you thought were cotton/linen were actually that. You could try dyeing the wools with food coloring - no death there - and you could use the pot and pans from your kitchen. I have done that and it is a lot of fun and a lot of KZbin videos to give you ideas on ways you might like to try.

Love wool! I think the box was well worth the price. The only reason I would not get the box is I really want the exact fiber content, yardage, yarn size and color. Without this information I cannot buy more if I really love the yarn.

Great box of yarn! Please do experiment with dyes, it looks like a great batch to try it out with. Also, the newer skeins of the angora/brushed acrylic are not the same color as the Hanks you already had in your stash. They are very close but one is more green and the other is more blue. Both are beautiful!

With yarn like that "angora" yarn, I use a few different colors together and use size 50 needles‼️😱😍 Even though it is a huge knit, it is VERY warm‼️😎 💜💙💚💛🧡❤

The zebra yarn you got (the black and natural) is absolutely gorgeous dyed especially when any of the jewel tone colors are used. Rit works fine. Can't wait to see your experiments!!

That yarn was BEAUTIFUL and not a bunch of cheap leftover stuff, and the unboxing was like 900 people coming out of a phone booth! I would like to see you dye the yarns with natural dyes, like turmeric , beet juice goldenrod and so forth because I think the natural colors would be fun to do with natural fibers. Test your yarn with the burn test. Ash means it it a natural fiber, melt means a synthetic fiber, both a blend. You would have to check other hints as to what natural fiber cotton/wool/bamboo. Love, love .love your videos. I think you are the top teacher on line. Fun, calm and real a joy to listen to.
