I think one of the greatest moments in my life was working for the Phoenix Coyotes and standing around the main concourse and i spy a shorter man with huge dreads….and then it hit me from the patches on his vest. so i run up "Mr. Cavalera you look lost can i help you?" i helped him find his entire family (all 30 of them) on the way there we discussed how i recognized him and how i loved his music, and he hugged me and thanked me and then went to join his family. then my other coworker ran up and got us some autographs since i was too stunned to even ask for one. Not every day your metal hero hugs you.

2 things, 1st, max is totally right about how there's to many genres on metal. Metals metal. 2nd, Max is a granddad? What an awesome grandad.

+BigNick66 His grandson was on one of the bonus tracks on the new album. His voice was kinda annoying but he's only like 6 so in 10-12 years time we'll see how little Roki works out as a metal musician. I think he's Roxanne Cavalera's kid but I'm fairly sure Richie also has a kid too. Igor Jr and Zyon are both barely into their 20s so I doubt they have kids yet.

Metal without genre division would be a living hell, trust me. Like, when you want to find something new and exciting, you go to the internet and type what? "Metal"? It'll just throw tons of bands on you, so how would you choose? It's simply easier to navigate through all these massive amounts of stuff using genre tags

+Simple Guy But I think he wasn't talking about that...
@LaMortDeLaMusique9 жыл бұрын
+Simple Guy I think he was referring to tribalism within metal, such as the ongoing war between death metallers and black metallers (which originates from original conflicts in the 90s between Swedish death metal and Norwegian black metal), and the whole conflict between what is and isn't "metal". Max considers deathcore to be metal but a lot of people would disagree.

Don't lie, you run away from the fans. And even during the M&G session you put up bullshit rules. Hardcore old Sepultura fanatic here and let me tell you. Max was my idol since teenage years and still is, love old Sepultura to death and even like first two Soulfly records. When I met Max back in 2015 on a M&G I couldn't hold the excitement inside (yeah I was drunk af but still), showed him my Beneath The Remains tattoo and he seemed like a cool guy for that 10 seconds I had to talk to him and shake hands. But when I went to see Soulfly in the club at the very end of the show the band started to play The Four Horsemen to give Max time to run to the bus. He stayed there until take off - I know that cause I waited for like two hours for him. No big deal. Then Gloria comes out, some guy approached her and the security guy was like GET BACK GET BACK like she was pope or something. She took Soulfly CD from that guy and I gave her Chaos AD for Max to sign. She was like ok, few seconds and she returned and was like "No, Max doesn't sign Sepultura". Like for fuck's sake, he was the leader of the damn band through it's best years, made some of the best metal records ever. Sadly I can't listen to any of the new stuff he's putting up, and what's more important I get fuckin sick of the bullshit he says in the interviews. HE RUNS AWAY. I'm not saying he's an asshole or something, I get that he's getting old and might be tired and shit - but why is all the bullshit about how he loves to spend time with fans? Yeah, he said that in his autobiography also.

@Michael Leech no, I agree max is it n the bullshit
@ominouswoods14994 жыл бұрын
@@Easun36 I guess I was a really dedicated fan back then to be able to see through the overall boredom of the music, but yeah - it certainly never was my thing, but the first two records seem like they were true to the person Max was back then, thus they feel organic and honest, unlike anything Sepultura and Soulfly released ever since.
