I know this is of topic: but I honestly think some of the more broken items encouraged people to diversify their tactics. With the tanks, you can't just go head in and expect to win like with a player, rather distanced shots to the cabin or treads being more rewarding (also anvil rockets). With the Kamehameha, it's a risk and reward due to you being immobile, needing a charge up, and the difficulty of following a moving player (at least for me). With the planes, getting lots of cover was an essential thing to do. Boogie Bombs are one of the ones that don't really give an alternative playstyle, but can still be countered with some well-placed shots afterward. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I actually enjoy having the occasional busted item or vehicle added since it can help spice up and diversify games. The only thing I'm against is keeping the items as broken as they are in competitive modes, the ballers being evidence of that, or like how the goo gun is with its instant-kill
