I think it's crazy how they talk. When I was 20 (8 yrs. ago), we were all so insecure, had no idea what is important in a relationship, didn't know how to talk about things etc. We quite literally fucked around and found out. Which was an incredible experience I would not want to miss, but it was also connected to a certain degree of hurt and heartache which was rather unavoidable. On one hand, I think it's interesting how grown-up they seem, but on the other hand, I find it weird how dating and talking to each other has been "professionalized" to such a degree, incorporating so many aspects of psychotherapy and stuff that was never meant to be practiced "on the streets." It's like dating has become just another commodity in late capitalism that's constantly being optimized and rationalized. Flags, "love language", "compatibility scores", all this stuff. It feels very alienating to me. Luckily, this video didn't have that much of it and there was a lot of what seemed to be genuine emotional connection, which was beautiful to see.

Not a huge fan of Elijah either, but the interaction was weird. If it made her uncomfortable, she should have just said "no".
