If you leave your dryer sheets out in the open they lose their scent and potency they need to stay sealed put them in a ziplock baggie and then you can put them in the container

We can no longer live without the Dollar Tree over the door hooks on our bathroom doors for robes, pj’s, or other just out of the shower clothing needs. And the makeup section has saved me literally hundreds of dollars with some excellent choices in makeup brushes, applicators, manicure tools. Thanks for giving me some new ideas!

Dollar store blush brushes work to paint with also, as a mop brush and save you up to $20 using them...

I don’t recommend submerging your makeup brushes in water and letting them sit like that. It loosens the glue that holds the bristles in and together. All you need to clean them quickly is a mixture of 1oz of baby shampoo, a drop of olive oil, and 1/4 tsp of 91% rubbing alcohol. Run the bristle end under warm water, put a few drops of the solution on the brushes and work it through. Of course, rinse well. You’ll see all of the dirt and makeup just run right down the drain and they’re squeaky clean, disinfected, and conditioned. Hang your brushes upside down so that the water runs toward the tip of the brushes, not the glue. I typically use a towel to get them as dry as I can before hanging them. You can get a thin pool noodle, paint it the color you want, cut slits in it, hang it on the wall with command strips, and stuff the handles of the brushes into the slits upside down. They fit nice and snug, so they stay put. But no, you don’t ever want to soak makeup brushes, especially if you use high-end brushes.

Thanks for the Dollar Tree suggestions & advice. I like to use newspaper to clean glass & mirrors. It doesn't leave streaks or lint behind, can be tossed out when finished, is biodegradable, & can be obtained for free. I happen to get a free, local newspaper delivered weekly, but if you don't already get a newspaper, just grab a weekly ad from the grocery store. If 1 isn't enough, just grab more if you have a lot of mirrors or windows to clean. Just avoid using glossy, magazine-like sheets; you only want to use the dull pages. They'll leave your hands a bit inky, which can be easily washed off, but it doesn't transfer onto the glass.

My mom uses those rubber shelf liners for her glass mixing bowls or the glass baking dish. She cuts our squares or wide rectangles and puts them between the glass bowls or glass baking dish so they won't crack and not so loud on the ears when stacking glass, she starting doing this in the early 80s, years before household hacks was a thing on youtube. She was given wooden crates and she had my step dad nail a few together to make shelves, one for my brother and one for me, she didn't paint them, she liked the raw wood look and put a place mat on top so things won't fall through the opening in the crate. She saved shoe boxes for my brother's Legos and matchbox cars and I used a few to put my pretty stationery and envelopes, pens and pencils... when we use to write letters! My mom has a beautiful home now and much bigger,, Spanish style home, so a lot more cabinet space, linen closets, newer containers for storage bit she still uses household hacks or things for other uses, her home is always spotless. I learned a lot from my mom.. I just hope she doesn't take a look in my closet, a holy hot mess! Lol 😁

Hi Shannon! Loved this video. Lots of great ideas. The back scratchers are not only good for their intended purpose. The are also great for reaching jars, mugs, or glasses from a top shelf in your kitchen cabinets. I also use mine for reaching into the back of the clothes dryer for the stray socks that are so hard to get to. 🙂

Just a hint - try not using that cleaning spray on your mirrors and glass when you use the microfiber fabric. You really don't need the chemicals at all. Just use water on the cloth.

I use a paint brush (dollar tree) to dust lamp shades, stereo equipment, blinds. My house has those wooden shutters works great getting dust off. Use the paint brush for cleaning my residents rooms as well. I’ve gotten 3 other girls to start using them as well.

The over the door hook racks are great in the back of the van too! They hook over the moulding very easily and are great for hanging jackets, hats etc on on in the car. I also used them for hanging shopping bags on to keep them handy.

A dryer sheet, Dawn Power Wash a little bowl of water. Spray the bugs thats on the front of your car, dip the dryer sheet in water, then wipe off the bugs! Works great! They come off so easy!

Hi Shannon, love your ideas, would like to add something..please note I mean no hate towards you or your channel! But sometimes people don’t often realize certain things and that’s what a community is for…helping one another out! That said, as a vet tech, the feeding mat for your lil fur babies (which are so cute), they can easily bite off pieces of that blanket which could potentially block them, upset their tummies, AND their mouths leave behind bacteria which will stay on the blanket and multiply which will lead to upset stomach. They sell dishes on Amazon that are less expensive than petsmart and petco that are made exclusively for this purpose. Hope this helps…I will say that mat is PERFECT for a pet bed, and my kitty will LOVE it, so thanks!😉👍

I love the Dollar Tree!! On backscratchers: They are also good at helping you put your shoes and slippers on. They will grab the shoe, hold it in place, AND act as a shoehorn. Fantastic idea with those mats to slow down fast-eating dogs!! The rest of the Hacks are awesome!!

Great channel Shannon love 💕 your ideas and hacks very cool and gorgeous DIY’s/hacks. Shannon at dollar tree they do sell a pink silicon makeup brush cleaners, it also makes it much easier and faster to clean them. I also use vinegar, water, and baking powder to clean my makeup brushes. Your laundry hacks are gorgeous and so genius very cool 😎 ideas you rock. Be careful with the door hooks, I accidentally ripped my favorite shirt, so what I did was buy some white beads from dollar tree and I hot clued them onto the edges of the door hooks, and that took away the sharp edges.

those baby blankets are polyester fleece or another kind of synthetic, little micro pieces of plastic which your animal is eating and getting stuffed up their nose. The fibers, because of the way it is woven, will always come off until they ball, then the animal will eat the pill off.
