2:29 honestly I agree that the original version of rimokon is dry, you can definitely tell its one of the older vocaloid songs. That being said, rimokon was one of the few songs added to project sekai to use a remix virtual singer version (similar to butterfly on your right shoulder) where they didn't use the original but instead a newer version the producer made more recently. And I'm gonna be completely honest, that version SOLO'S both the original AND the WxS cover. Rin and Len sound insanely lively and the instrumental is amazing.

If I had to add one to this list purely based on personal bias it would be From Y to Y. Ichika's singing there is immensely soothing when it has to be, and it's filled with the sorrow and sadness the song wants to evoke, backed up by Miku's mellow and calm tuning, with the rest of L/n mostly doing one liners so they're included, but Ichika alone makes the song so incredibly good than it already was.

As an original vocaloid fan, I would say I like a lot of the pjsekai covers though I don't think I can say I like them more than the original lol. A lot of them are nice because of the group vocals - for example daybreak front line and Kami no mani hit differently when sung with multiple voices so I like that aspect that's all. Ifuudoudou is probably the one pjsekai version I love over the original. Rimokon is one I disagree on though - my favorite version of that is the Soraru/Lon version I think - and for some reason I really don't like the pjsekai one much - I LOVE EMU but in this one song I felt it ruined the vibe I had of the song lol Like, if I had listened to this first maybe I would have thought differently! In fact I think for a lot of songs it's because I have listened to the original for a long time that the vibes I have are different :D

I wouldnt agree on YY, MKDR, and Alter Ego. It might be because I have a purist bias but, YY's MIku vocals just make it really cute with the MV. MKDR didn't have mercy on Kanade she literally ran out of breath, maybe a bit of a mixing fix would be better. I guess they made it sound more human I guess? Alter Ego was perfect with Miku literally sounds like she's dying and just tired of living.
