Some important notes I have on Cap One. They get a bad rap, but they have been extremely good to me and have been with me from terrible to good credit. They even allowed me to get 2 new cards while still having an old account with them that was an unpaid charge off. I have taken care of that account since, but personally, I have no complaints with Cap One. 1) The 3 consumer card limit DOES NOT include co-branded cards. So, in theory you can go over that limit with say a Kohls Card or Walmart card like I have. 2) You can get out if the sandbox by applying for a fresh new card. I started with the Platinum and was able to upgrade to the Quicksilver within a year or so, but still hit a wall with CLI. After another year and a half or so, I i applied for SavorOne for Good Credit and got a higher limit to start. Haven't applied for CLI yet, but just getting approved for this card in their "good" credit category took me out if the bad/fair credit bucket.

I don't drive, don't go to hotels, and only fly twice a year. So I use Capital 1 3% cash back for groceries and restaurants. Are there any credit cards that offer better deals than that?

I think 3% is about the highest you gonna find right now, Disco IT is a rotating 5% but you would only probably get usage out of a few quarterly CBs per year so probably not worth it. An everyday 3% is better move like what you got

I have QuickSilver, Savor One , Venture and Walmart Capital one . I just got a pre approval for Platinum yesterday and today tried it on website and it also said i was pre approved for Platinum 🤷🏻‍♂️ makes no sense since they refuse to raise my limit on Savor one why would they give me another card

Maybe you already reached the max of your 1st Capital 1 cc? I have 2 ccs with Capital 1, and 1 of my Capital 1 cc limit is $7,000, I dunno what the other cc limit is.

Thank you for this! I was wondering if I could do a product change. Your video gives me hope! Last yr I was able to pay down a Capital One Spark card I had for years. I received an additional $500 credits limit to my card of $2000. I then tried out for a product change for an old Capital One platinum. I got product change, but to a Quicksilver One card. Since the new year, I request.for a product change on both cards. I get the "not available at this time" messege. I will try your link and see what happens👍🏾

Ok I shall take your suggestion. Update! My credit score increased today. 778! I thought would give it a try to see which card am I qualified for. I got the Savor cc with a $5,000 limit! Whoo Hoo!🤸🏾‍♀️

Btw there is something about Capital 1 credit cards that I guess others don't offer. I was once recently skimmed $1000 from a state of Illinois LINK card, to be used on groceries only (for low-income people to apply). I was worried what if they skimmed my cc? Well, I'm with credit cards from 3 different companies, and none of them have the ability to set a maximum for a single charge. The single-limit, is the monthly limit. You can increase/decrease the monthly limit, but you can't set a max for single-charge. Do cc companies do this out of arrogance? Or because they never thought of the idea? (Now if you decrease the monthly limit, that will hurt your credit score, but I didn't come to talk about that.), But the phone operator for Capital 1 said there is another option that my other 2 CCs didn't say on the phone, which were Chase and Fidelity. Which makes me think the others don't offer. And it's this thing where there's a full-owner of a Capital 1 credit card, connected to other ccs that are subowners. The owner can set a maximum charge limit for the subowner ccs. But it cannot be the same person. Is this unique among credit cards, that Capital 1 offers?

If I have a year of credit history without any missing payments and a 10-15% of credit utilization but with a 32k income can I still get approved for the Venture X or Venture? Or any venture card in general?

@@WalletMonkeys Thank you for the link! But I wasn’t approved for the Venture X nor the Venture, But I was approved for the Venture One For Good Credit, I would like to wait a little bit longer but let’s days if I accept this card can I upgraded in the future for a Venture? Or even the X?

Great question, I currently don't know the upgrade path if there is one for that card currently. I will say, considering there are upgrade paths for so many other cards, its a fairly safe assumption that they will in the future

I am in the sandbox with Capital One and I’ve been in the sandbox for 10 years. I started off with a low five low very low card is with $400 and it’s only came up $100 and I use it on a daily basis so now I put that aside I stopped using the card and paid it off so when I’m going to do from here I am going to not use the car AC are you Credit score up here. I have been with captial one for 8 + years i have 3 accounts an every time i apply for a credit increase they turn me down i have a Fico score over 750 my payment history is excellent so im told buy credit wise i have cards with other lenders i get automatic increases with not trouble I don't freaking understand it lol😮

Started with Platinum 300 cl, then they offered me Quicksilver one 800 cl then they offered me savor one with 15k cl.

Possibly but it would be their rebuilder card with like $200-$300 limit, you can check their pre-qualification tool

Cap1 says in there terms that you can be approved with 1 CR Frozen but the reserve the right to not give you a SUB for that card if approved

On cap1 main cc page if you look at savor cards the tos is as follows but look at the 1st sentence and the last bullet point: I understand that I am not eligible for this offer if: My application is received after this offer expires, is incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate or cannot be verified. My address is not in one of the following locations: the 50 United States, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico or a U.S. military location. My address is a correctional institution. My monthly income (my disclosed total annual income divided by 12) doesn't exceed my monthly rent/mortgage payment by at least $425. Or, Capital One otherwise determines that I am unable to make my monthly payments. I am under 18 or do not have a valid Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. I have applied for a Capital One credit card 2 or more times in the last 30 days. I have a past due Capital One credit card account. I am over my credit line on a Capital One credit card. I have had a Capital One credit card that charged off within the past year. I have a non-discharged bankruptcy (one that is still unresolved). I have implemented a credit security freeze or credit lock with one or more of the credit bureaus, which prevents Capital One from accessing my credit report.

Soo Data Points.. My Secured Cap One Platinum Took 3+ Years To Graduate. Paid on time every month. Eventually just stopped using it an moved on to better cards an 1 day it just Graduated. I Currently have 5 Cap One Cards 4 Personal 1 Business. And 1 of The personal is a BJ's Card That was Moved over From Comenity Bank.

I had one online to get a Capital One card once I got the card and open up the package I could not pull the paper off the plastic to reveal the pin number even though I had used it my top about three times on small items after this I had to call Capital One to straighten out my card I want to use it in giant tigers Dubai a few things but a double tapped I had to do this more than one time then the girl told me to insert the card and use the pin number forgetting that I never had the pin number yet only because I was waiting for a new one to come in not thinking that I used my debit pin number instead which head blocked the card I had called in to explain to them what had happened that was my mistake another one to do a full investigation even after I told them I was the one that made the air and I still have not heard anything from them the card is probably sitting there collecting interest because they don't want to straighten it out because they think that I should have to send multiple ID to Peru it was me this is the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life

Do not apply for capital one card. 0% apr intro jacks up to 30% apr and they do not have any relief programs worth noting. Poor customer service and predatory lending. Choose Chase or Discover.

@@tweezy7151 I was in a car accident. I called them from the hospital. Told them I’m having two surgeries. They said they would put the account on hold. After two weeks in the hospital, by the time I came home I already had collection letters in my mailbox. Credit score dropped from 817 to 530.

Capital One got me back into the game but other then the Venture X and the SavorOne, I wouldn't recommended.... My Oldest card with the lowest limit. Took 8yrs to let me Product change That product change link never worked for me. I have 31 cards sooo. That Venture card sits in the sock drawer 🫡

This is true! I received multiple product changes over the years so CO is good for that but, as for extending you more credit forget about it lol. I have Amex and Chase cards with 10 and 20,000 limits and my CO sits at 5 grand forever, even after months of high spend on it. So, in the sock drawer it goes. If they are unwilling to do for me, I stop doing for them.
