whats the difference between 2018 and 2019 JCW ? And the JCW comes with the JCW sports exhaust, correct ?

Both the 2018 and 2019 come with a sports exhaust. However, on the 2018 you could also add the JCW Pro Exhaust which has the active exhaust/valve system. If you're in Europe the 2019 model has an equipped OPF filter which sadly is part of the reason why the JCW Pro Exhaust isn't offered on the 2019 Model. The OPF filter is basically like a diesel filter that removes more carbon emissions. And it's believed that this also causes the car to lose some WHP.

I tried the demo JCW with the sports exhaust and to be very honest, I don't see the point. The stock exhaust already goes pop and bangs and the sports exhaust is kind of...I don't know, it seems like the exhaust is engineered to make processed pops, if it makes any sense. Now, when it pops, it's a nice surprise. I love, love, LOVE my JCW.

Nope, it's an 8-speed torque converter automatic :)

@@KrisRifa The Hardtop and Convertible JCW both have a 6-speed Sport Automatic transmission. It isn't until you get to the Clubman and Countryman (Cooper S and JCW) that you have an 8-speed Sport Auto (Cooper models have a 6-speed). Considering the weight of the smaller MINIs, as well as the final drive and gear ratios, there really is no need for more than 6 gears (it would be a waste). All are torque converter automatics, though there is some talk of a dual-clutch auto that is in the works. I sell MINIs for a living, I'd like to think that I know my product.

So putting the seats down means the sound of the tailpipes becomes louder....sorry but that makes no sense.....and a lot of reviews on the JCW say that the tailpipe sound is amplified through the speakers

The tailpipes are right below the center of the trunk, so moving the seat back out of the way - hence moving something that has a huge sound deadening effect will without a doubt make the exhaust more audible. You can try this in any car, but cars that don't have loud exhausts this often results in more tire and road noise.

Dampers don’t have 3 modes , Only 2. In sport mode 10% stiffer . . Low profile run flats only option on those 18 inch wheels . NOT COOL See how cool when brake disks need replacing after only 20 k miles . EVOLVE in uk re maps f56 stock Cooper s engine to 280 hp for £700 . The same engine comes as stock in BMW tourer giving 245 hp in stock form so wick is still turned down a little in JCW. It’s a great engine capable of lots more !

There are a lot of cheap plastic bits of trim and those stripes on the bonnet will not last 3 years if not looked after,the JCW wheels are very easy to kerb,there is far too many JCW badges for sad pricks to rob but what a car it is to drive! But the final joke is it's price if spec any options:(
