Something I just realized is Seadog Ruffs and Buccaneer Barley are both references to the anime "One Piece." Seadog Ruffs has a scar on his chest exactly where post-timeskip Luffy has his scar. Buccaneer Barley is a reference to another character in the One Piece verse called "Whitebeard" because of his white beard and because the character is from a different race called the 'Buccaneers.'

Clancy is a crab and not a lobster his tail is an implant(crabs have very small tails) also his whiskers is a mustache cause crabs dont have whispers. Also crab are rounder similar to him unlike lobsters which are thinner
