@adskib The following is my respond to one of viewer's s crack question on my video#25: "There is nothing to do with the string cut-off or compressing the bottom. My way of avoiding S crack is to trim the bottom thin enough. How thin? I'd say about 1/8 inch. Also, dry your pots naturally instead of put them under the sun." So far, if I trim the foot within the range of the thickness, 99.9% of my pots are all perfect without crack. The problem is how can you tell the thickness of your bottom?

Hi Hsinchuen, I love you work and videos; they absolutely inspire me and open my eyes. when I try to cut my my plates, I get small cracks in them and the edges become very fragile. Can you guess what my problem is? I think I have a problem with one of or a combination of the dryness, the thickness, my tools, and how fast I cut it. Is there anything else you can think of? And can you please give me some general tips on those 4 aspects I listed?

I love the "on purpose" chattering effect...lovely! Maybe maybe it's a skill I haven't mastered, but when I use the surform it ends up being a very jagged surface...not a smooth surface like yours. Did you wipe that piece after you surformed it?

What kind of clay are you using? I love its color and creaminess. I’m hoping it’s not porcelain 😂.
