Your English kicks ass my friend. English is my second language, I had the opportunity to learn by being immersed. I respect the fact that you are learning it through your own efforts, that seems much more challenging. You sound great, and seeking to improve yourself only makes me admire and respect you more.

A tip when using live unwarp in the uv editor. Its also helps relaxing models. If you have unwrapped a model add a couple pins with some uv space around it. Then select one a press G, most of the times a uv mesh will spread to a more relaxed method.

When you sculpt or 3d scan something, but don't want to do retopo, how do you go about texturizing/painting the model? Do you texture paint on the model? If so, what is the process? By the way... congratulations on taking something negative and turning it into a positive to improve your english, even though I find accents cool and never had any issues understanding you.

There are only so few things I feel I am missing from Modo that by Blender 2.8 I will try to make the switch. So. Damn. Cool. All those workflow tricks should really have their own Separate Appendix in the Blender Manual for each Category. Manual > Modeling / UVMapping etc. > [reference manual categories] + Workflow Tips and tricks I think a lot of these tricks are what many users are really missing out on before switching over to Blender. No matter if they switch completely or just as an additional software. Those quick tips are the shit for expereienced users. Persiod. :D

Let me tell you something about your English.. it's FINE. In fact, you are the first person I've heard who CORRECTLY pronounced "Smart UV Project". In every video I've seen - done by a native speaker of English - they pronounce it "PRO-ject" - as if it's a project they're working on. Listen up people, it's "pro -JECT" .. like a projection on a screen. The vast majority of Americans can't even speak a second language, so screw 'em. (I'm an American - but I speak pretty decent German, plus some Spanish and French - so I have the right to say that). Ausgezeichnetes Video. Sehr hilfbar. Danke.

I absolutely agree with mkd1964...dude. Your videos are super helpful AND easy to understand. Any "language barriers" you feel you're running into really are a non-issue. Sometimes I play your videos w/o watching, just to listen for things I didn't know, while I work on something unrelated in Blender--and guess what--I can understand you perfectly! Typically, my advice would be to ignore ppl who would troll you so childishly, however, you've exceeded my recommendation and actually allowed them to make you better. Love that! Keep up the good Blender work and make sure any "linguistic challenges" you take on are for you and no one else!

Hi Zach thanks a lot for these fantastic tips! A quick question. I have a model with UVs laid out on multiple UV tiles (UDIM space). Is there a way in Blender(either cycles or Blender Internal) to bake out texture for all these UV tiles (without manually shifting each tile to 0-1 space and baking each image individually)? Coz, I wanted to bake a simple color id map for one of my assets from Blender for use in Substance Painter but can't seem to find any mention of UDIM baking online. Many thanks! - Vidu

Great Job Zach Love the format of 20 tips. I create my own image textures in Photoshop and place them on my model. I use the nodes I use cycles. Each Material I make gets placed on a face. I feel very confused though about UV Coordinates Multiple UV maps UV editor window. Placing a material image on more than once face. I am confused about bending objects that already have a image placed on it. Where the UV s are saved how the UV maps work in textures . I suppose the essential basic concepts are missing in the sea of some very advanced tutorials. So I ask for the 20 Essential basics concepts needed for UV mapping. I just feel like I am missing something. How did you get away with scaling a map to Zero ? When I am using more than one UV map for one object. Thanks for a very usable and informative video !

Hi Zacharias. Thank you for such cool tips! According to live unwrap in image editor that was great discovery for me. Thank you! Just one refinement according to island selection on 3d view. (24:30) you mentioned that it doesn't working in vertex mode. Well actually it isn’t true. If you select one vertex and press L or ctrl+L (Select Linked) and then F6 (or see operator on T panel), You'll see that there is several option to select linked. One of them is Seam. Once you choose this method it will be used by default during the end of current blender session. This is not criticism)) Just want to share this tip with you. Best wishes!
