Turning Bluetooth off on the control center doesn't actually turns it off. You have to go to Settings> Bluetooth and turn it off from there.

AWFUL... at least give us 3d touch/long hold option to expand the wi-fi to searching other wifi+off features.. just like android did it a decade ago jeez.. absolutely stubborn those CLOWNS is really the right word!
@TDNomad7 жыл бұрын
Vincent Choi Because some people just wanted to disconnect & reconnect from a certain wifi or Bluetooth network/device vs having to go into settings & do so from there. Yeah. Like said a 3D Touch to turn it off would be nice.
@deaflat11197 жыл бұрын
The purpose is to disconnect from WiFi networks and Bluetooth devices and prevent new ones while allowing other services to continue to function such as Apple Watch, the Apple Pencil, airdrop, handoff, etc etc. It is a very valid reason and covers the most common use case. Most people aren’t trying to save battery when they shut those off. They want to disconnect from a network. If you are an anal retentive person who insists on turning the radios themselves off (which doesn’t save an appreciable amount of battery, contrary to what this video is telling you) then you still have that option. You do it from the settings app. They put the common use case within quick reach, and the less common use case a bit deeper. You’ll survive an extra couple taps if you fall in the latter category.
@ruthless77497 жыл бұрын

Thanks Nick, good review of all possible battery issues. I must have had my IPhone 6 Plus go from full charge to 65% in a couple hours of doing basically nothing except the upgrade. Then I started watching it go down a few percent a minute. I started turning off everything I could remember from your video and changing to Low Power mode and that seemed to stop the serious drain. I can’t agree with turning on WiFi Assist though, because I had issues with using excessive cellular data when that feature came out was defaulted on. Kind of a catch 22 if it does in fact save power then cost you all your monthly data. I do feel like this another case of Apple introducing a feature, turning it on, and users paying for it. I just wish I knew what feature is causing the excessive power drain I and so many others experienced!

@vinnieneutron6 жыл бұрын
Have you tried reversing the contrast? That’s where the screen is black and characters are white. Because full-on screen brightness is more drain than all the other tips combined. If you try it, give it a couple of days to get used to. If ya are old school, it’ll remind ya of the earlier computer screens. With Apple’s heavy use of greyscale (emphasis on white/light grey/grey) I saw that reverse contrast as beneficial to both old eyes AND less battery drain. There’s a couple different settings to check out, maybe it’ll be of help. HTH
@rickyhermawan89794 жыл бұрын
Apple made a small capacity battery so users feels their battery drained so fast, makes article that state low performance battery can caused overheat so sooner or later users has no other choice but replace the battery, that's all just for marketing strategy. Glad I use my A3 2017, last I checked the battery health is still 96% after two whole years, believe it or not that's your mindset.
