The key actionable points from the video 1. Define what success means to you personally, not just what others say it should be. 2. Write down your goals and what you want to achieve with your business. 3. Be willing to say "no" to opportunities that don't align with your goals. 4. Choose customers you enjoy working with and who value your work. 5. Invest money from your business into personal savings and investments. 6. Be honest with yourself about the quality of your work and always try to improve. 7. Apologize when you make mistakes and take responsibility for them. 8. Stand up for what you believe is right, even if it might cost you some business. 9. Surround yourself with positive, successful people who inspire you. 10. Learn technical skills that set you apart from competitors. 11. Consider both practical and emotional aspects when solving problems. 12. Develop a unique point of view that makes you stand out. 13. Get media training to improve how you present yourself and your ideas. 14. Take care of your own happiness and motivation to keep your business healthy. 15. Celebrate your achievements and enjoy the present moment. 16. Consider living in a big city when you're young to gain diverse experiences. 17. Choose the right audience for your business, not just whoever will give you likes. 18. Keep reading customer feedback to stay connected with your audience.

It seems like so many wealthy people are politically conservative . It's great to hear someone successful in business talk about how great the economy is and guide people towards areas of investing that will lead to compounding wealth. You are the first finfluencer who has been truthful about buying a house. I appreciate your honest opinions.

Ramit is so right about buying a house. I wish I had discovered him sooner. This idea that wealthy people are politically conservatives is way more nuanced and may not as true any more. I think the tides have shifted.
@GTC770225 күн бұрын
@rls151 Hopefully the tides are turning. It seems like Americans do everything they can to dodge taxes, and to what end? Is it worth living in a society where over ninety percent of the population is living in poverty? Isn't society with fed and educated children better for everyone? On some level, paying your fair share is a privilege. It means you have a lucrative job, are prosperous, and are able to give back.

Hi Ramit, I've been following you for a long time now. This is by far, one if not my top, favorite video from you. Thank you so much!!! I can relate to this video and so many things you share in here. Not only was I a marketing professional and, later a PR support person and customer advocate, with emphasis on social media... but also someone who now lives their rich life everyday, according to your advice and principles. Been retired since age 36, with focus now on being a mom and volunteering at her public school daily, as I can financially now... was not always the case. Husband still works but only because he is passionate about doing so/likes his job/wants to. He will retire earlier than is the normal as well someday. You and your principles have helped us in many ways to make that happen. Anyway, I hope others can take great things from this video, too. Big fan of your team and philosophy here. I hope you, your team and your family are having a great day. Cheers.

Can you please bring on couples that are in their 50s-60s and are middle class? I get your principles are very good when you have great incomes & have time for investing, but what about those that didn’t do it early & now don’t know what to really do to retire as they didn’t invest early? I’ve watched tons of your videos but never see this important scenario discussed or addressed. Thanks!!

Honest question - would you feel the same if he had said that but was part of the opposite team? ie. do you agree with the idea of “being true to yourself and what you believe” or just that he likes the same politicians that you like? Genuinely curious and mean no offense
@lowlowseesee29 күн бұрын
@@ttm8634 i hope she answers too but just a response from someone who shares ramits views. i would not feel the same if Ramit had said that about the team he was calling out. i cant support people who want to take away the rights of other humans. im all about other teams who may have a different view on things. Always down to change my mind. but my mind can not be changed about whether or not a human should have their rights taken or not. when people use terms like 'teams' they are missing the point of this all. this isnt two groups disagreeing on where parks should be built. these are people trying to take away peoples humanity

31 Years old now, had I understood money and investing years ago I would be much better off right now; would likely have zero debt. Unfortunately my parent and her parents never knew a thing other than to work hard and buy a house for your family. She did that. But she is over worked and has nothing but a house for retirement. Now with a daughter on the way I intend to teach her everything I wish I had known early and often. Watched your Netflix series and your videos. Getting annoyed at your voice at this point (not a bad thing! Just watched too many of your videos lol) but appreciate hammering the lessons in. On my way to paying off debt aggressively and investing a little on the way and plan to invest more after that. Money has been a stressor for far too long.

I love Ramit's background! I wish more podcasters took the time to create a professional background. The first thing I notice in every one of these videos is the background of the guests. It's funny it flashed to the previous podcast guests, because I remember thinking during that video that the lady made so much money, but the wall behind her was empty. Maybe she removed a family picture from the wall before the video, but honestly my first impression made me think she was just not as "rich" or successful as she was.

"Live to fight another day". Yes we all like to talk about how life and the market is an infinite game but for it to be infinite you have to "survive", to not get into ruin. Taleb talks about this a lot but Luca Dellanna explains the concept in his book "Ergodicity" which is written for people who are new to the concept. The way we often measure expected value is not the one we are actually getting because we forget the ability of losing which keeps us from continuing the game.
