there weren't any f1 1996 season game. the first f1 game on ps1 was from the 1995 season quite a few people make that mistake. as for my 1st f1 game i think it was the first one on n64 either that or on the sega master system

SEGA 1989 tendo Actually there was - just not on consoles. Ubi Soft released F1 Racing Simulation on PC (the game that came before Monaco GP Racing Simulation 2) which had the full FIA license and the 1996 teams and drivers. I only know that because I happened to buy it at the time!

Did you record the older games on an emulator? I remember F1 '98 looking very jagged and rough on PS1 back in the day. Yet on here it looks bright, colourful and it looks to have actually aged pretty well all things considered. Certainly better than F1 '97 has (even if 97 is the far superior game).

Agreed. Geoff Crammond had a huge influence on F1 and Sim Racing games in general. Grand Prix 3 and 4 had an awesome weather system. Also those two games still have a lively community which still do new carsets :)
