I loved Jean Slater and she was a great character and I remember she was quite nasty piece of work and really mental problems and she smokes in her early appearances in 2004 but when she came back in 2006 as a full-time character she mellowed down into loveable and less crazy and a sweet who always say sausage surprise.

Yes that is correct. There have been quite a few actors from The Bill in EastEnders. The obvious one is Jack Branning, then there was both Ruby and Johnny Allen too. Natalie, Denise and Kathy were also in it. Some older characters like Irene Raymond, Sarah Hills and Danny Pennant were in the Bill (Danny was also in Hollyoaks, as was Kathy). There are loads more.

I disagree. The scamming storyline is really important. Older people get scammed on a daily basis and lose so much money. So I’m glad Eastenders are portraying this. Portraying this is an eye opener, it can help some people & save them from possibly being scammed in the future. It can help people identify certain tell tale signs they’re talking to a scammer. Can help families if they suspect their older family member is being a victim of fraud/scammed. But people who have been scammed react in so many different ways, they’re embarrassed, humiliated, ashamed etc.

I think Jean is a great character. Her storyline has been incredible. It’s also been quite educational for some viewers. It’s been an eye opening storyline for sure. It’s also made viewers realise that people with Bipolar have a serious illness to live with, but there is help out there and their families can help.

@@MoUniiiiii But that’s the whole point of Bipolar. You have episodes regular until something is done to help, but it takes time to get on the right medication. So the storylines were accurate.
