What about Jython? Isn't there a compatible version for Pthon 3?

There is GraalPy, which is Python 3 on the Graal VM. That's probably the closest you can get for Python on the JVM. It's kind of a sibling of TruffleRuby (around 10:30 in the talk)

Can Oracle or whoever please refocus on providing a replacement for Java Webstart concerning the ability to seamlessly update installed Java desktop applications beyond just creating an installer using the jpackage tool? Right now, Java desktop application distribution feels like it’s half baked and/or neglected🔥
