200 hour Bellwright review

Prawn here with my thoughts on Bellwright after playing over 200 hours. It's a great medieval survival game with some frustrations, but also really enjoyable and worth the money!

To be fair, weve seen vids of EA of trash games. There just is something wrong in the gaming community. Its like the whole world of devs hated BG3. Bellwright, in my eyes, is the mix of Age of Empires and the witcher3 with being maybe half as good as both of them but gives me this nice feeling to build a village and run in it around and interact with stuff. Ppl were so hyped for Starfield, a game that has been done a dozen of times and at least half of that dozen were better than Starfield while noone talks about Bellwright with its 'new' playstyle.

Nice review brother ! I have 300+ hours into the game and I love it, definitely rough around the edges in some areas still. If you and your buddies ever want another guy I’d love to actually try the co-op mode, none of my friends play this

It's much better with friends for sure. I think I've mostly exhausted the game now until there are some big patches.

people who played in last oasis before(previous pvp survival game of this company) easily can fight with melee against 4-5 enemy. So all depend on skill, just dont try to spam to much. melee fight is much more fun

You can separate enemies easily by kiting them. I have never found it necessary to use cheesy fighting techniques have 260+ hours in game.

Actually stamina does improve as your strength improves you are incorrect there.

Level 6 strength and I've seen no increase upon death.

You see that in the stats overview, with STR your life and stamina increase. Later on in the game you find more food with increased XP then gets fairly easy to increase your STR to 6+ with books. And in general, yes you can be cheeky and use just a bow with arrows in the end and is even better to be naked because you’re much faster. Otherwise I found the system good, if you attacked a base sure the attacked person would call for help. Then makes sense for me also even with better equipment you have no chance against more enemies because you have no special powers. I think that was a decision to do it in that way, same that you don’t wanna build any building from T2+ by your own. Two good builders can build a T3 building under 2 days because they finishing multiple dots in one step. And finally just build your T3 close to the brigands then your whole army defeats then in some minutes.
