I know! That thing was mint! Too bad I already have one!

Oh no! I of course knew the cam was missing, we did cut the timing belt because we intended to rebuild anyway. But I didn't know the crank looked that way. I would pull that lower timing cog off to see if the key way looks that bad all the way back. If it's just messed up on the cog, that can be replaced and you won't need a new crank. Was the crank bolt easy to take out? Cause they are usually pretty tight. If it was loose, then it probably means the crank pulley was wobbling around and hopefully just messed up the end.

What's up, TJ! I think the crank is going to be fine. I found a kit on Amazon that comes with a long woodruff key and adapter. I'll be running that and if it doesn't work I'm going to do the JB Weld fix. Thanks again for everything! The engine is killer clean!!

Absolutely. I had one back in the 90's that I supercharged. It was so much fun. This one will be boosted eventually. We need to get it running first!

Dang dude, that Miata in the yard was picked clean and you still scored some stuff and for just over twenty bucks, nice! It was cool to see you prepare for the day and we see Kelly already suited up in XDD gear ready for the day. This vid has a cool on hand tutorial vibe. Cool stuff bro, the engine looks clean, the inner side of the cover says a lot. It's pretty gnarly that it was just a few episodes back that you picked up the Miata and already are taking about painting for next week, that's badass and I was wondering when you would mention the lude, I was admiring it throughout the video. Looking for to tomorrow's toaster vid.

What's up, JC!! I don't think I have ever seen a car picked so clean at the junkyard. They cut off the rear fenders!! With everything that was taken, I was surprised to see that the trunk was still there and the side mirrors. It's so nice to actually work a little on the Miata. Going forward, the MIata videos will have more of a typically XDD vibe. Thanks for always watching!

This one.... Lol. Smart answer. So Miata guys run two exhaust cams.
@ExtremeDailyDrivers4 жыл бұрын
Apparently! I did a quick google search and there is a lot of info on it, but before I can consider two exhaust cams, I have to find one first and they aren't easy to find!!
