BEAMNG NEWS episode 82 Top story: The police have found a way to open the Cybertruck Darkstig was hiding in, in order to arrest him! They did it with the help of a Tesla specialist, who accessed the onboard computer of the car and unlocked the doors. But when they looked inside, to their surprise, instead of Darkstig they found a remote control device! It turned out that the villain was never inside, which you might think makes no sense, but it's actually possible: you can't see the inside of the car by looking through the glass on the outside, because that's how this special kind of glass works, and Darkstig's voice that the police would hear all the time was actually coming out of the car's radio! Soon, it was revealed where Darkstig really was - outside the police headquarters, driving away with their stolen ice cream! Despite this being not a good season for ice cream, deputies Wreckmeister and Felipe started chasing him, but it was a trap: there were 200 spike strips set by Dr. Spiky on the road! The van almost managed to get to the other side, then Darkstig got out and started escaping on his own feet, but it was a slow escape because he had to avoid all the spikes! Seeing that he still has a chance to catch him, Sheriff Bat Dummieson got into his special vehicle: the LKS Prerunner! Its wheels were big enough to survive over half of the spike strips, and after that, the Sheriff changed the tires to spare ones and continued the chase! Deputy McSpeed followed in an offroad version of Burnside Special, it managed to make it to the other side and still drive after it, despite losing a wheel! Unfortunately, the cars weren't so fast anymore with deflated tires and Darkstig escaped them. At lest he left all the ice cream behind him. But before eating it, the police has to remove the spike strip first, because some cars have already crashed into them! In other news: A well-known car company Gavril has released updated versions of 3 of their vehicles! They are: the D-series pickup, the H-Series van, and the Roamer SUV! All these cars share the same frame (at least the base versions of them), so it made sense to update them all at the same time! Let's see all the changes, starting with the H-Series, because it actually got only one major change: the body is now easier to separate from the frame during crashes. The reason is simmilar to the reason why the CrashHard Dummy has detatchable parts: the body will now bend less and will he easier to repair after a crash, and also safer for the driver! The Roamer recieved a simmilar change, and it also got a little facelift, now it looks less "boxy" and more modern. It also got new, more sporty wheels for the mid-trim models. The D-Series pickup recieved the biggest overhaul, and according to Gavril, this is just "phaze one", so we're excited to see what they will add in the future! Apart from all the changes simmilar to the Roamer's ones, it got new types of frames, now finally allowing a longer bed! The short frame also has a new type of attatchment that is not used in any models yet, and according to Gavril, it will be used to attatch a one-piece body in the future! The rear suspension has been made more compatible: now they are using the same one for all frame variants instead of a different one each time! Speaking of suspension, it also got some brand-new variants with 4-link front and rear suspension! Other new variants include Park Ranger, Offroad, Drift, Drag and more! With them come new parts, such as headlight guards, new bumpers, new grilles, bucket seats, roll cage rear attatchments, alternative beds and fenders with bigger wheel spaces, etc. This all means that the D-Series can now be used as a (primitive) rock crawler, which means that Gavril won the competition with Ibishu who still haven't released their Crawler Hopper! Overall, the changes make the pickup more capable offroad, which means it will now be very useful in Utah - the nuclear explosion that happened there opened an entrance to an abandonned ancient mine that needs to be explored, which can only be done in a good offroad vehicle!
