@@teessidetransport I've heard and it's heartbreaking! I was 17 when the MAN ALX300 MKIs came out back in 1997 and they arrived with a boring grey interior, a horrible red floor as well as bench style seats covered with a soft grey/red/yellow and white trim. The dashboard and steering wheel was the same as the 02/03 reg plates have at the moment. It was love at first sight to be honest and several years later in 2000/01 when the MKIIs were put on the road, noticing how gorgeous the buses looked - it felt like you were riding your dream bus in paradise! When these beasty legends go, a huge part of my childhood goes with them.
