Because I didn't tune the rifle for each projectile I tried. I tuned the rifle to where it was really happy, then tried various slugs within a specific range.

Why did you use such light slugs?You would get more stability long range with the 40gr slugs

I wanted to test both the Delta Wolf & M3 with similar weight slugs. I plan on retuning the M3 for heavier slugs.

Congratulations on connecting! I know first hand how difficult it can be… simply using a stock $350 .177 Avenger…. Full disclosure, while the rifle is stock the ammo is not. It’s been resized to .173 for better performance in my rifle.
