@@PaulWhittington1 That skillet is only expensive because of the brand they commissioned. It's a $250 Butter Pat skillet with the YETI logo and YETI marks it up another $50. Companies do that all the time. Bass Pro, Cracker Barrel, Cabela's, and others commission Lodge to put their company logo on the pans. YETI just used an already insanely high priced pan for theirs.

My wife and I have a Coleman we bought for, like, $80 a few years ago, and to this day it's the best damn cooler I've ever used. Comes with the extending handle and wheels, which is more than fancy enough in my book. We moved twice with it, and after a few hours in the cooler it was like taking the stuff straight out of the fridge again. It's held ice solid on a hot beach day for, what, maybe four or five hours? Yeti really is just for showing off how rich you are, but I just can't justify the $200 for a stupid ice bucket that's way smaller than my Coleman and probably doesn't offer anything that mine doesn't

That scoop would end up in my minnow bucket. Then, like scoops of the past, it would be almost immediately stolen by my kid to play with in the sand. Then, also like the scoops before it, my kid would forget it on a beach. Then I would toss him off the boat for losing a $50 minnow scoop. Then my wife would go off for hours about "my anger issues" or "drinking in the morning" or some other nonsense. She'd want counseling. I'd go fishing in the morning before the appointment but I'd be running late because I couldn't find a minnow scoop.... So... Yeti is pretty much trying to ruin father-son relationships and marriages at this point. At least that's the way I see it.

Sure Yeti makes quality coolers that can keep ice frozen for days, but there's a little trick that I use when fishing to turn a cheap clear walmart sweater box/storage bin into a great cooler. Get a bag of ice and Viva paper towels or white shop towels, wrap about 10-15 paper towels around the bag of ice and put it in the bin, then put a white towel over the bin or put it in a white garbage bag to reflect the light. It usually takes about 1 day for the ice to melt on an average summer day in the northeast US. And it's much easier to move around.

I took it home, boiled everything in hot water, then dunked it in concentrated bleach…..and did it again 3 more times (boiling water and bleach). 7 years later I still have that mug, I wove a handle for it out of paracord, and it’s my favorite cup of all time. These things are crazy good lunch coolers or takeout bags. The problem with the largest canteen version was that it couldn't quite fit a soda cup and shut tight. This one is silly large but you could store all your perishables in it and possibly install wheels if you were going to take it out on foot for some reason. Works as its own serving tray. Nice height for a dog to eat out of. Costs $60-90 by the time you'd buy it on clearance.
