2000 Bavaria 34 - 2 cabin

I'm looking on a 34 foot 2 cabin Bavaria sailboat, a one owner boat in very good condition.
length : 10.85 m.
beam : 3.48 m.
Displacement (weight) : 4500 kg.

hi I'm thinking about buying a Bavaria 34 but have not yet had a chance to look at one . I noticed that the head room in the aft cabin and the heads is not good , how tall are you ? I'm 5'11" . Brian

Tino G - Sailing thanks for that. if your 6' then the head room should be ok hopefully. had a look at a Bavaria 30 at the Scottish boat show, it was in mint condition well looked after but just a bit to small .

My plan at first was to buy a Bavaria 30 but the old guys in the sailclub said I should buy a Bavaria boat over 31 foot due to the proportions was not right on the 30 footer, it was to wide in relation to the length and only wanted to sail like an old wooden ship with the wind from behind.Also why I chose a 32 foot.

Jeg er 183 cm høj. I videoen har jeg sko på så højden er nok nærmere 185 cm.Grunden til at jeg ikke valgte en 34er fra 2000 var grundet ståhøjden på toilettet samt i bagerste kahyt, den var for lav. De nyere 34ere har betydeligt mere ståhøjde, se 1.50 kzbin.info/www/bejne/laiykmBtqK2NnaM

@@twiper tak :) Jeg er total nybegynder i sejlads og mit drøm er lidt at købe en båd ala Bavaria cruiser 34 og bo i den og så i ferie sejle rundt i danske farvande og kyster i europa.

Ok. At vælge en Bavaria er nok en god start på båd verdenen, hvis du har pengene er mit råd at holde øje med markedet da der af og til dukker nogle rigtig gode tilbud op. Hvis du går op i en 36er vil ståhøjden dog blive betydeligt bedre end i klassen 30 til 34 fod.

What is the difference between Bavaria 33 & Bavaria 34?

The Bavaria 33 first appeared in 2005 so the model is much newer. The 34 you can get from 1986 and forward, back in the days they made a model called 340 lagoon with a nice interior design.

Hello, I understand you choosed the newer Farr designed 32. Would you consider the 32 a better boat than this model of 34?

wckoek - The 34 is a nice boat and people also say the old model is better build than the new ones, but I think the new boats has better space in the cabin. Also why I chose a 32 in the new design, it has better headroom and overall space than the 34, the front cabin in the 34 is a bit bigger than in the 32.

wckoek - A 34 sold to a good price could be as good as a 32, but if you require standing headroom and is 6 foot tall you must chose a 32 from +2002 or the 33 from +2006. Don't think the overall quality is so different between the models.

I am looking at a 2008, 34 Cruiser (J&J), not sure if it is the same as the 34 in the video, and a 2011 32 Cruiser (Farr), both almost at the same price. The 32 have no proper chart table, not a big deal, and have lesser sail area, but more modern hull, if the 32 have larger interior than the 34 cruiser I will look for it closer

wckoek - The 34 from 2008 has far more space than the 2000 model in the video. I made a video of a 34 2011 model (think it is the same design as a 2008) and it has much more headroom and space than the 32 from 2011, so go for the 34.

The price depends on where in the world you are, but right now you can get a Bavaria 34 from year 2000 in England for around 60000 US Dollars
