2000 Holiday Rambler Endeavor Headlight Upgrade

I have a 2002 holiday rambler but my lights are more square or not rounded like the ones you have. Do you know what year or model car I could use to upgrade my headlights the rear looks good like the ones you did. I’m going to upgrade them, but I’m having trouble finding headlights. Thank you.

how did you ajust the light for good view, how many inch down amd at how many feet to wall to alined, did mine like a car and tooke head light height on rv as reference height but it does not give good coverage, seem to low on the road

I did more or less what you did, but I then did several more adjustments following test drives to get it where it looked and lit correct. I’ve had no issues with oncoming cars flashing lights at me so this has worked fine.

Did your original HR Light have 1157 sockets or 3157 sockets for turn/marker bulbs? Mine has 1157 and does not appear that this light assembly will be a true plug and play without adding 3157 sockets.

Mine had 3157s. This applies to RVs that had the Ford Explorer headlights in them from the factory. However if the headlights otherwise fit, 3157 sockets are easy to splice in, here's a couple you could use: amzn.to/45KLql9

I was wondering if your radiator fan conversion worked because I was thinking of doing it to my motorcoach.

I've put about 10k miles on the electric cooling fan setup and I've been very happy with it so far, it's worked well all around. That said, there are things I would do differently if I could do it over. I'm planning a video on that after I implement a few of those.

Ted, GREAT videos, presentation & topics! Looks like you have covered a lot of the same topics that I have done or have been thinking of doing... i.e. headlights. I have a 2001 HR Endeavor and tow an enclosed race trailer; wondering if you have done any reseach on trailer brake controlers/hookup to use with this type of RV? (that has and exhaust brake which activates the brake lights)

Glad you like my videos! I haven't looked at adding a standard brake controller, so I don't have much input there. I would imagine that if you look at the wiring diagram, you end up having two potential sources activating the brake lights (coming from the exhaust brake and coming from the brake pedal). I'd want to tap into the one from the brake pedal specifically. If such a thing doesn't exist, you could add in a microswitch that activates when you first start pressing the brake pedal (or activates at a certain amount of pressing) but I would imagine that there is a wire you can tap into.

Wondering, in your research for HR replacement headlights, do you know if the many non projector style Headlights will accept the HID replacement bulbs you recommended. As I understand from your video, those are what really make a difference... in short, it appears the Clear aren't available, so if I don't want smoke or black and don't really have to have the halo... what am I left with? Been doing some research and it's not really clear what my options are...

@@vincelamanna3774 I've not looked too much into what's out there now to replace those Ford Explorer headlights like what I had. It's a shame if they discontinued the clear/chromed ones like mine. But to answer your question regarding projector vs. not, the real issue is the HID replacement light position being correct and the same as the incandescent ones. I have HIDs in both the low beam (projector) and high beam (not projector, standard style) and it works well in both. So I think that if you went with more standard style Explorer replacement lights and added the HID bulbs, it should still work fine.

Will these lights fit a 1999 endeavor 37WDM ?

If it has GM square body lights like mine did, these will fit. Pretty sure that a 99 Endeavor should have the same taillights

The headlights on my 06 Journey are so bad that I can run the interstates at night on high beam and no one, that’s right, no one flashes me. I’d like to improve them, but is see no real alternative. I think they are late 80s Pontiac and Olds.

Those look like they’re from a 90s car to me, although I can’t place it. Check the lens and housing for an SAE number and Google that to find what they came from. Even if they don’t make aftermarket improved ones, there should be aftermarket stock replacements which will at least be new. Also make sure you’ve got them aimed right. You can do this with it parked at night pointed towards a garage door.
