worked like a charm. After watching this twice, I think I was able to do both headlamps in less time than the video takes. Thanks Uncle Lew.

My dad appreciated your video and told me it took less than five minutes. He spent three times that looking over the assembly area trying to discern how to access the compartment without screwing something else up or wasting his time. He sends his regards good sir!

Thanks so much Uncle Lew! Like the others, I too was able to replace my headlights without help thanks to your very informative video! People like you are the best! I love my old CRV and love to do as much as I can on my own so again thank you so very, very much!

My driver side headlight just went out this Sunday which was March. 31, 2019 today is Apr. 1st, 2019. Went to the KZbin search engine and typed in how to change a headlight for a 1999 Honda Crv and Uncle Lew's video came up. Not a car guy myself your video was very specific with the instructions and close ups with the camera were great. I was able to change driver and passenger lights in 10 minutes. Thank you very much Uncle Lew 👏👍

This is an excellent video. On our 1998 CRV, access was limited on the driver's side. Getting the electrical connector off was difficult. It resisted, but my wife's small hands got in there at a better angle and her powerful muscles prevailed. The rest was easy and as described in the video.

Thanks so much. For a complete auto ignoramus such as me, it took me exactly 3 minutes to change the headlight of my Honda Odyssey 2000. Yes, this is exactly the same procedure for that vehicle as well. Thanks for saving me a whole bunch of time and effort.

Thank you sooo very much. Your video helped explain the whole process for my '97 Honda CRV. I'm glad you took the time to video record that clip, otherwise I might have damaged it. All in all, it took me about 7 minutes to remove and replace. Thanks again

This is great - thank you so much! Getting the spring back on was a bit tricky plus there's not a lot of room to work on the driver side headlight. However, you helped to make the job easy - even for a 60-something lady! Thanks again, UncleLew!

Excellent, concise, exactly what I needed to know. The music bed is a little distracting but worth it for the information. Why Honda had to "improve" the way their headlight bulbs needed to be installed is beyond me!

Thanks it helped me alot . I was stumped last night about my Hyundai Elantra with H7 balb so I searched for any video this morning. I guessed it was similar to all cars. I didn't have a flashlight last night. My mainproblem was getting the clamp off. My other problem was that the Battery is installed infront of the headlight and the plastic screws for the top plastic cover gave me trouble. I used the power plug to hold the balb and guided it into the socket.

Thank you for the concise instructions, attempted to do this according to the owners manual and got stuck at the unclip the hold wire step. Pushing the tabbed part of the wire was the key to unhooking it--I would have never guessed that through the written instructions. Thanks for empowering us girls!! PS. wasn't quite sure about the needlenose pliers and flat head screwdriver--didn't need them.

Thanks for the refresher! I just finished installing mine (same as what you're using, actually). The passenger side plug was difficult to pull out but with enough determination, I got that sucker loose. The driver side has the windshield wiper reservoir and something else so close to the plug and it took Herculian tugging to get it out. I was just about ready to give it up and take it to a garage when I finally popped off. The wire "gate" was a b**ch to re-latch too. Rubber caps: no problem.

Thanks for the vid! I probably would have gone a little nutty not knowing about that clip. I was doing this on the drivers side of a 1999 Civic. The headlamps are nearly identical. Little bit tight on the civic though because of the power steering reservoir is right behind the lamp. You have to pull the reservoir off its mounting bracket or have VERY small hands.
