For a 20 year old KX250 this model can indeed win a lot of championships. I saw John Dowd in 2000 competing against the 450 class in the Monster Energy Supercross Series in NJ. He totally smoked em by a mere 35 seconds. It's a great piece of history.

I love this video! You gave me a lot of info and confidence that I made a good buy today. A little over a month ago, I prayed for God to make it possible for me to get a dirt bike. He made circumstances work out that I got a side job that paid well, and after 35 days of hard work, and much prayer and faith that God would find me the perfect bike, I finally was able to buy a spectacular 2000 KX 250 with only 4 hours on it. BONE STOCK. The stickers kind of flaked off a little with age, but the bike hasn't got a scratch on it. Compression test was great, and it fired up and ran beautiful from cold on the first kick. I am so thankful to God and excited to ride tomorrow!! :) Thumb up, and shared. I always love your content.

My 2001 KX125 is just as nice---possibly the best example anyone is likely to find. I bought it brand new in 2001, and put maybe 8-10 hours on it. That is, light to moderate riding---I never power shifted the thing! It sat for nearly 15 years, and it recently fired right up after extremely minor adjustments. The tires are the originals---only the rental bars, shift levers and grips are not stock originals. I ride it once a month down the road to keep it going---and for the first time (ever), just adjusted a small amount of slack out of the chain! Love it!!!
