here in 2023, had my 02 galant since 08. Fixing her up now, just deep cleaned the engine bay. Shined up all the aluminum, looks fantastic boys. Gonna need to replace the fuel pump on her but other than shes been golden. 220k miles and strong.

The car is under the knife for an awd conversion. As for the wiring, I made a jumper harness that would allow me to use an evo ecu.

I acquired a cleaner shell that I'm slowly building. All the awd parts are here as well. Need a new clutch and some misc parts. Hoping it will completed by Fall of 2024

I’m starting to think I might have to keep the car front wheel drive because this build maybe too expensive. (Also will you make videos of your journey? It would be great)

@@orickbriscoe5641 realistically the swap will probably be $10K in parts. This isn't counting a built motor. Custom subframe if made is probably $3500-4000. Evo trans is around $2000-2500. Transfer case is $2000. Clutch is $1500-2000. Rear subframe, Axle, spindles. Custom driveshaft. Steering rack. And misc parts added. One way to make it cheaper is to modify the stock subframe or take a V6 subframe and modify it to fit. Easiest trans to use is an evo since it mates to the lock perfectly and shares the same trans mount location. Anything else might require more work to make it fit.

Is that the stock cylinder head cause I read that only the 94 gs came with dohc but I searched the whole dam internet for any galant with a dohc but on the forums people say they exist. I know there are a couple different cars the have the identical block just with a different name the come dohc stock and I think they are only 7 bolt but ya. P.s. i just didn't give the names of those cars cause i don't want the information to spread before I can get one of the dohc cylinder heads so the price doesn't go up hella high cause you know what really popular race car its exactly the same as I'm sure. Its starting to get pretty well known. But anyways that's not what I was trying to get at. I just was wondering if you galant came stock with a dohc cause I'm interested cause I haven't been able to find any 4g64 cars that came stock with dohc. Also what was you compression ratio before you set it up for turbo and if it was sohc stock did it lower the compression ratio when you put on the dohc and did you have to change the pistons for the dohc swap I know that for sure would change the compression ratio. I'm on the path to building a 4g64t myself I got a long ways to go so I'm trying to learn from people that have already done it so I don't fuck anything up

Sonata head was used on this build, the galants never came dohc from factory. The pistons did have to change due to change in combustion chamber. Calculations were made to size up proper piston for a 9.5:1 CR for this build.

It's definitely not stock 2000-03 came with 4g64 sohc in America as far as I know. its either a head swap from a g4js or 4g63 or just 4g63t can't quite tell from this angle

Balance shaft has been deleted and it's running the stock harmonic damper . There are no aftermarket options for a harmonic damper for this platform.

Hey I have 2003 Mitsubishi Galant and I’m trying to upgrade my cooling system right now. I’m having a tough time finding parts for the car like the radiator and even the headers/Manifold. Do you know where I can find like a better performance radiator?

Stock radiator is commonly found at various retailers. They don't make a replacement "performance" radiator since the stock system works efficiently enough to keep temps low. You would need to get a radiator from a different platform and modify the car to fit it.

@@qusaihamada2096 build the stock motor. Add a turbo with custom manifold and bigger injectors and bigger pump. Must change the ecu or else you can't tune it.
