Hi great video I have a 1994 Mitsubishi Pajero 2800 intercooler automatic and my Speedo does not work. I was wondering if you could tell me the actual location of the speed sensor as there is no info on KZbin or in the Haynes manual. Would really appreciate your help

Hi, wonder if you could help. I'm looking at a mitsubishi shogun 2002, was told by the guy that "It drives fine in manual mode as semi auto but gets gear jumpy in full auto mode. Took it to local garage and they said it was only an input shaft sensor" I have looked everywhere and can't find an input shaft sensor on line or anywhere, I ask my mechanics an shops and they say it sounds like a gearbkx/transmission sensor any ideas please thanks .

Well if its a V5A51 sensor is located next on left side of the transmission just behind the bell housing bellow the dipstick line. Your problem sounds to something electronic, the input shaft sensor mesure the rpm of the input shaft that connect to the torque converter and tells the TCM the engine speed for gear selection.

In the event that the health authority lost the place of the sensor, is there a way to return it to its correct place?

Did you find a way to put it in the right place?

How can I put the sensor housing in the correct place? Is there a method besides try and failure...?
@samuelmaisonetrivas663 Жыл бұрын
Depending on the gear color. Check with manufacturer the actual position for the sensor.

That’s good to know. My montero speed indicator has stopped working so I am looking to replace this sensor. I understand from your video that if I remove the whole geared assembly I need to put it back exactly the way it was. However, can I leave the geared assembly in place and instead remove t he black, plastic sensor part? If so, does it just come off by unthreading it with a wrench like a bolt?
@samuelmaisonetrivas6633 жыл бұрын
Yes you can replace just the sensor itselfe without removing the gear, how ever check first if the gear is not worn out. They are made of plastic a can get damage by time and heat.

@@samuelmaisonetrivas663 Ang idea where to buy the geared part of the sensor, or what it called or what the part number is? I only see the actual sensor online when I try to look for it. Thanks again.

@@Omardottcom I have a screen shot of the part name and how to look for it, is not a common part to replace so you are going to find it wit the Deeler or an authorized distributor.

@samuelmaisonetrivas663 Жыл бұрын
@johnfranherhernandez5118 si es el engranaje plastico del sensor y es completo, por que ellos mayormente vienen la parte exterior, se supone que si. Es importante verificar que el interno no este lastimadoo desgastado.

Where is that sensor?????
@samuelmaisonetrivas6633 жыл бұрын
Its suposed to be at the tail of the transmission on the left side.
