It's really the first time I've watched anything from this game. I attended this game when I was a junior & that summer lost a great friend Aaron Zeigler. It was too hard to watch anything with Aaron in it, especially this state football game that without Aaron we would have never won. It's still very painful to watch & know how difficult his death is for so many. This is the only way we get to see him, I just wish he knew how loved he really was. What an athlete in every sense of the word.

At about the 8:50 mark you see Monroe Weekley #63 make a huge hit and backfield tackle of Mt. Carmel's star RB Jon Veach. Weekley was a high school all-american that year, went to Pitt, was kicked off the Pitt team as a freshman for "conduct detrimental to the team" and no explanation was ever given. After a year at a junior college, he went to Kansas where he was again kicked off the team for bad conduct. He then claimed to have been given improper benefits by a Kansas coach, which led to a huge NCAA investigation. Weekley went back to Aliquippa and is now serving a 24 to 52 year prison sentence for murdering a man in cold bold over a $600 debt. Meanwhile, Veach went to Princeton and graduated. Culture matters. Mt. Carmel vs. Aliquippa.
