I’d love to see today’s players use the clubs in Tiger’s bag in 2000. Steel shafted 975D driver (43.5 inches) and 970 3W with almost half the head sizes of modern woods. 120+ gram X100 steel shafts through the bag and forged blades 2-LW. No hybrids, no 5W. Let’s see these guys today score 12 under at Pebble Beach with a US Open setup while playing with those clubs. Not happening. Tiger hit it so flush.

For the 2027 US Open, they should set it up just like they did in 2000 (narrowed fairways, high rough with potassium, etc.) if they want keep the scores down
