funny when you know that 2001 was actually shot on super panavision 70.

Good catch. I had forgotten that it played at the Cinerama in LA.

Maybe that's why, to me, this trailer looked the same as the original, except with slightly different versions of all the props.

I have the feeling that the "spark of intelligence" the aliens gave us is starting to run out about now.

If this were really made in the 1950’s the female astronaut would be wearing a skirt and heels and serving coffee to the male astronauts.

Yes. ...and it would be awesome 😆

HAL wasnt holding humanity back. He just wasn't going to let humanity punch his time card.

Not much difference from the real film which just took place a decade into the future

The female astronaut introduces a romantic element, with a lovers quarrel over whether or not to disconnect HAL.

That was "The sentinel" by A C Clarke not 2001 ( although 2001 was based on it) Clarke also wrote the novel 2001 based on the film

Why don't any of these AI videos that say they're in Panavision actually have the right aspect ratio? Lame.

Panavision 70 is a lens set not an art style. They still use Panavision 70 lenses today. Avengers end game was shot using these lenses. These videos are misleading everyone.

How about 2001 if it was made recently, like in 90's, or in the 2010's?
