I love Carly and Sonny together, but they don’t need to shade Brenda. She was nearly killed multiple times because of her love for Sonny. She’s strong as hell, just as strong as Carly. She just made a choice at the time after being left at the altar that she wanted a different life with a man who wouldn’t put her in danger then abandon her. That’s not weak. It’s smart.

I agree with Carly fighting for what she wants…..there is nothing wrong with that…….Michael was shot……but that wasn’t Sonny’s fault……..that’s just life unfortunately………there is nothing that says that they didn’t deserve to be happy……..maybe if they were together around the times leading up to Michaels shooting maybe things could of been different………most of what happened between them was because of people not minding their own business..

The first time I got to stand up and clap for Jason. Because he said no to bringing Carly back to Sonny. Jason is finally gets Carly off his back romantically and he's no longer on her radar and now Sonny wants to throw him smack dab in the middle of their argument. Jason always had the power to get rid of Carly - let’s be real. She basically threw herself at him any chance she got - was desperate for him to love her ( in some roundabout ways for sure) and he said no almost every time. He had all the power in their relationship/friendship - but he cared too much for Michael to let anything happen to her and the thing I’m not sure why ppl feel so conflicted over is - he genuinely loves Carly and will do anything for her. No one understands it - including me sometimes lol - but he does. That’s great soap!

@@jarlymorgan FACTS. I think Jason’s problem is that he doesn’t realize that, which is why he has such insecurity where Carson is concerned. After Sonny returned from Nixon Falls, Jason said that he couldn’t replace Sonny. Maybe Jason will finally realize that Sonny is his replacement in 2024. Also, Jason had to tell himself the Carly never really loved him to get over her 💔😭

Sonny was right when he told Jason that he, Jason, was the love of Carly's life. Jason is still the love of Carly's life, even up to this very day, 2019. Jason is right about Carly having steel in her, but he's wrong about Carly only thinking she loved Jason. The writers did the HateSex b/c SBu was leaving the show for a while and they needed a story that kept SJB on the front burner while he was gone. S&C was their answer to that problem.

When Sonny talked about his mind shattering other than the guilt of the car bomb the only woman I’ve seen break Sonny is Brenda. Yes he gets sad breaks barware etc. the only one I’ve seen drive him to insanity was after she “died” or when she left him he went dark and was broken

When it comes to Brenda, Sorry Carly does not compare at all. So there is no comparison there AT ALL. Carly happened cause Brenda "died" period and for Sonny to go and marry someone else after his guilt over Lily, not to mention leaving behind his opportunity to finally marry the love is HIS life Brenda so SHE would be safe me is beyond me. The writers were so stupid after Guza took over. It is like they forgot the REASON Sonny would not get married again in the first place! Now all of a sudden he wants to make a life with another woman? Give me a break! It's like all the pain he caused one woman was for nothing! That is NOT the Sonny I know. Not as much as he loved Brenda. He has never loved another woman the way he loved Brenda! And whatever Jason! You don't realize what Sonny put Brenda through. You would break too! He humilated Brenda. He left her at the altar for goodness sake! What did you expect Jason? Sick of the Brenda bashing from the writers and the fans on here. Brenda was never weak. She was strong and fiesty and she would have searched for Sonny to the ends of the earth but Jason was there telling her what Sonny told him to say. Sonny never left her to her face the coward! THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE! He told Carly to her face that it was over. he didn't disappear her to parts unknown! Get REAL people! Sonny was still around! Of course Carly kept fighting! LOL. Brenda couldn 't fight for a man who WAS NOT there. SMH at this nonsense just to make Carly look better than Brenda Barrett. It will never happened for me period. I stick to my guns I am not fickle of change my mind at the drop of a dime all because the writers want to make a character a certain way.

And when he tells Carly he loves her, it is not with as much passion or realness as when he first told Brenda he loved her, Nope i wasn't moved at all. I actually cried when he told Brenda he loved her. I have never cried watching a CarSon scene and I never will. That is mess and it is forced and ridiculous to me. Always has been and always will be. Now with a Jarly scene. I have cried a few times. I KNOW REAL LOVE when I see it!

Something about the way Maurice looks around this time...something in his eyes are vacant...it communicates that brokenness that I see in him during this period. He's sleep walking. When TB comes on the scene he's energized and fine as hell again...too bad VM's Brenda couldn't have gotten piece of that. The TV would have exploded.

Not sure his mental state was because of the actors SB or TB…... Might be giving them too much credit for that. Probably Maurice’s own personal life and struggles influenced how he felt. But agree he seemed like he was acting / vacant here and the most natural was when he was yelling to me. But him and TB did have good chemistry but I didn’t love her as Carly tbh. Loved Jason standing up for Carly here. No one knows her better.

If I remember, you're a Brenda fan? :) I certainly liked Brenda better than Carly (at least in the beginning when she was with Sonny.. haven't watched her lately) At least Brenda has/had a conscience. Carly's conscience went out the window after she drugged AJ years ago. Now she's basically a sociopath.
