2001 EVA Pod unboxing!

I'll give this one a go, after I make the other three 2001 kits from Moebius. They've got all the great sixties stuff! I'd love to make the ship from Fantastic Voyage, and the Seaview from Voyage To the Bottom Of the Sea. Bit pricey, but they look top-notch. I'll have to clear some serious space to make the 1:144 Discovery, and the 1:8 EVA Pod. Someone's not going to be happy...but it ain't me.

The main issue I see so far is that the pod is in two halves with a big seam across the top.

I would give the Tamiya filler a try, I used it on the Space Clipper fairly successfully.
