Correct me if I’m wrong, but Cormega had said that “Thun and Kicko” was made way before the Nas and Jay-Z beef really kicked off… “Duns and Kikos” was the original version for the record that it was just prodigy on there, first unveiled on Mobb Deep’s Mobb Misses J-Love comp mixtape in ‘98… Nas and Prodigy’s beef was truly a misunderstanding. IDK. Just my opinion though. Prodigy’s verse probably seemed like it was targeting Nas, but it’s a total misunderstanding, because Prodigy’s verse probably got remastered - Cormega made a new verse 3 years later down the road for the Realness album, targeting Nas on the record. All of these beefs were very unnecessary in honesty. Even the Mega-Nas tension … lots of little shots thrown on record instead of actually talking it out like men - like you are in the same exact area. Talk it out. Don’t diss on records. That’s just my take though. I’m glad things patched up with Mobb/Nas and Nas/Mega and Mega/Prodigy … QB unity. RIP PRODIGY.
