Nobody really was, was and still is an outrage UEFA did not listen to PSV's proposal to play this match some other day, Nantes however agreed with UEFA...

I remember PSV used the excuse of twin towers attacks to ask for a replay... Shame on this team !

Maybe its better for you to read the story first. PSV didnt want to play this match, because of the events in US that day. All other Champions leageue games were canceled except for this one. The players were still in shock. However, Nantes made some agreement with UEFA and ultimately the match still had to be played. So make up your own mind, but I think Nantes was to blame here, not PSV. I am, to this date still disgusted by the fans of Nantes, celebrating the goals, acting like nothing happend that day. They all should be ashamed of themselves.

@@klaboem0 You're wrong, liar and abject. First, ALL the 8 game scheduled this Tuesday night were played. UEFA only postponed the games since the Wednersday. Second, you can hear when PSV scores that PSV fans celebrate the goal so if you're disgusting by the fan of Nantes, you have to be disguted by yours (. Third, PSV is the only team among the five losers of this night to ask for a replay. Fortunately UEFA rejected PSV request, judging it indecent. We can debate about the choice to maintain the Tuesday night matches but to use the death of 3000 people to justify a loss is more than disguting. More generally, seeing a PSV fan to speak about shame when you know how disgusting was this team and with a crowd applausing a dutch player for having injured an opponent during the second game in Eindhoven, it's like to see a member of ISIS spaking about tolerance.

@@klaboem0 it wouldn't have been too complicated to check your "facts" before posting such a stupid comment. You could have prevented to appear like an idiot in front of everybody and your fellow PSV fans. Nantes finished first of the group and was clearly the better team here.

@@ExquisiteIdea Ahh, there must be a reason for you that you've posted this on 9/11. You've clearly missed the point. It was never about who was the better team that day. But the fact that UEFA and Nantes accepted to play a football game on 9/11 when there was an ongoing terrorist attack in the world.

@@klaboem0 The reason? Yes I was remembering the game because I was in the stadium this day, were you? If this is the start of your rebuttal, find a better one. I guess I'll have to waste my time repeating what the other poster told you. That 9/11/2001, there was no agreement between FC Nantes and UEFA as every single game (8 in total) played that evening, your claim of FC Nantes turning an awful event to their advantage falls short. I was in the stadium that day, and if you think that the crowd had all their attention turned to football, you're wrong, the athmosphere was rather heavy and everybody had a hard time to grasp what was happening, chants from fans were minimal in the stadium. You were obviously not with the PSV fans in the stands either, if you were you would have cheered with them on DeJong's goal.
